What are the timelines for NDVO Spouse sponsorship applications ? Any Idea . I have heard that it takes 7-9 months . Is it True ?
It varies from case to case. As a general trend, currently NDVO is taking around a year to process the applications (including SA). These days they are processing the applications of Jan, Feb, March 2015 although there are pending applications from 2014 also. You can follow NDVO 2014 and 2015 threads for more details.

Hello Naj,

Global processing requires long time... and it is difficult for visa officer to process eligibility from different cultures and regions

Good luck

Sent my application today. Good luck to everyone.

Just checked yesterday that they have updated Document Checklist IMM 5491, this month. They now want Notice of Assessment instead of Option C.

Hello everyone,

Forms been updated and new document checklist is required...

Hello Guys,

I just joined the forum. Looks like a really good community of people, willing to help each other out.

I just wanted to come here and say hi.

I just went through the long process of compiling everything and submitting the application to Mississauga for my wife's sponsorship. Now the waiting begins.

Hello T.J

Creating new topics of the same name will bring confusion to users...

Applicants of NDVO 2016 can update this forum...

Best regards,

Officer

I agree with that but it seems you yourself have created multiple threads of the same name. I don't think creating a different thread for every month is a very good option.

Hello Karan

This is the only 2016 New Delhi Spousal Sponsorship Topic that i have created...

Good Luck

Officer

Anyone from 2016 whose file has been transferred to NDVO?

Dear Forumites,

A little background I am a Canadian PR holder and sponsoring my wife (still gathering docs n completin forms ???)

Can anybody pls tell me in Principal applicant forms the Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) she being the Principal applicant needs to fill this form.

Do I (Sponsor) also need to fill this form as the guide says spouse of principal applicant should also complete this form ??

Thanks

If you are sponsoring your wife - you don't need to fill this form. Only the principal applicant needs to fill this form.
The confusion arises because this form gets used by other types of immigration candidates (apart from spousal sponsorship).

WELCOME TO NEW DELHI VISA OFFICE 2015 SPOUSAL APPLICANTS FORUM:

All the applicants and sponsors can start this forum with understanding of outland spousal process;

1. CIC Processing Time:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cic-processing-time-changed-t346380.0.html

2. SPONSOR expectation during the first step:

a. AOR1 or Application package will send back for lack of important document
b. CIC-M might request for missing documents or updated documents - based on your spousal application package was sent
c. Medical, CIC payment, required application forms and Police report check
d. SA = Sponsor Approval email or letter

3. SPONSORED APPLICANT expectation during the second step:

e. AOR2 - from Visa Office
f. missing or updated document request - based on case to case
g. eligibility and criminality check
h. Interview if eligibility is in doubt - based on case to case
i. passport request for visa

HAPPY NEW YEAR & MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hey Officer!!

Your post is really helpful!

A few queries which you could help me:-

1. Do I need to send all original documents to CPC (i.e. Educational documents, Marriage certificate and Birth certificate)?
2. We also lack with previous years relationship proofs only have Skype and FB chats. That works?

Thanks in advance!
