processing time according to cic is 17 months. But you expect visa between 6 to 10 months or 12 to 17 months. It is all depending on the individual case.

In the near past, have you heard anyone getting visa in 6 months from NDVO?

not this year but my 2 frnd got visa in 6 month in 2014,,but not now i listen anyone got visa in 6 month

Yaa, that's what I was wondering. 6 months time lines are history. These days the minimum I have seen is around 11 months.

Correct, Average 11-12 months and If you are lucky then 10 months.

Conditional PR is a measure to cut down on fraudulent sponsorship wherein a person gets sponsored, comes to Canada and immediately divorce each other but get to keep the PR. It is applied to all sponsored people and the sponsor (India too). Conditional PR means the sponsor and applicant have to stay together for 2 years after obtaining conditional PR and the applicant lands in Canada. Else the PR gets revoked and the sponsor would be liable for amounts incurred by the government for processing the application. Google for "Information for Sponsored Spouses or Partners" and the CIC website will pop-up with the info
