NEW DELHI - 2016 SPOUSAL VISA APPLICANTS

Hello,

I will try to answer according to what I would do for that.

If your spouse is planning to return to India (which I would assume as currently on TRV) and the application is outland, then you should correct it to have spouse's India address. That would keep things simple.

Hello all,

My application filed in mid Jan 2016 was returned yesterday due to some issues with sponsored applicant's mailing address.

I've rectified that and just re-sent the application by UPS courier today (11 February). Should reach Mississauga by tomorrow, 12 February *fingers crossed*

what was wrong in application? address mismatch or wrong address? that's very strange that they returned the whole application, I have seen cases where they have emailed applicants for additional documents or information, but returning the application after one month is scary !!

So my application got returned because apparently in the Generic Application Form (Page 2 Contact Information Q1), I mentioned my Canadian address for my wife's current mailing address, as my wife is currently living with me on this address on a TRV.

They said and I quote "A correction to the mailing address specified on the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM0008) to reflect the mailing address of the Principal Applicant; or, if the Principal Applicant wishes to have correspondence mailed to the address specified, a completed and signed Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476) is required for the authorization of release of documents and information to the individual residing at this address."

She isn't residing with you, she's just visiting you. What I mean is that her mailing address still has to be the one where she permanently resides, which is India.
 
i already sent my spouse application 2 week ago..waiting for AOR,,,,,,

Not me.. waiting patiently..
Our application was received on Jan 22nd. Approximately another 8-10 days until I receive AOR.

*Currently taking about 40-45 days to receive AOR after file has been submitted.
 
Btw guys, sometimes you don't receive AOR. So don't panic!
I didn't get AOR and got directly SA after 2 months.

But I used my own UCI # from my landing paper to check the status on ECAS before I got SA.
