If your MP has informed you ,you can trust MP information because it's updated one ,however it is still advisable to order notes .
In my case I consulted 2 MP's ,one said,they conducting background check on PA and second one said nothing started ,recently received remedical request .

Yes it's possible that your interview is waived because on your notes it was INTERVIEW RECOMMEND ,there is second review of your application by senior visa officer ,might he is convinced with your eligibility and waived the interview ,hopefully you will receive the REMEDICAL request soon.

As its been 17 months already... still no PPR ....
Did MP enquiry... they replied.. background check has still nt started.... till 19 months they cant force NDVO... aftr 19 months they can ask NVDO to close file asap...
Its very tough to wait....

ekuvinit, that's not true that after 19 months they can ask NDVO to close the file...read us the 2014 applicants, me 22 months everything finished and still not PPR...so don't believe that. SO many MP enquiries and calls and they don't care. I wish you to get your PPR before the 19 months

Omg.... such a long time.... cant we do nythng other than MP enquiry..... such as file a case against NDVO.... its very rude of them.....

MP'S don't do anything special ,they just call or email OTTAWA call centre for the details ,they don't have any Influence on time NDVO will take to process application .
It is very UNFORTUNATE but is truth .

exactly YuvrajCanada, they do exactly that, we are sooo f....g helpless...I am sooo frustrated..22 months waiting and waiting, my son is 1.5 years old I was with him for only 1 month. F.....G NDVO

OMG....why the delay in your case? When did you have your interview? I have been waiting for my PPR desperately. Going to complete 19 months on 17th Sept, thought I will hear something by then. Please throw some light on your case.

Why did not u apply for visitor visa????.... can we not apply now

Jazz72, my case is second marriage for both of us, my wife is not from my religion, married in India, have a baby boy 15 months old, did DNA test, eligibility passed in August 2, remedical August 3, background and criminality still in process, I don't have any travel history and I have no idea how much more we will wait, 1.5 months after remedical?

OK....even for us it is second marriage for both of us but same religion. I guess they take longer to process our file.
