What do you mean by Landing ??? you meant by air?? there is no international airport at borders ;). If you meant by landing in US without US visa then you can't at all.

You can do flag pooling that has no impact on your future US visa application plan.

My US visa was refused in Toronto and I applied again after 6 months and it was done that time :)

Hi PGU,

Can you please share your experience with applying for USA visa? My wife (applicant) is in Canada with me on Visitor Visa and we are flying to India from San Francisco in December. As you might be aware, NDVO requested for RCMP criminal check of my wife from Toronto. I am afraid this might delay PPR by another 2-3 months.

When did you apply for USA visa? Are you or the applicant a immigrant yet? Did you apply as an immigrant? What all documents did you show them?

I am thinking of applying for my wife USA visitor visa even before she receives her PR since we do not have much time remaining. Please advise if we should go ahead with this based on your experience.

Thanks

I have had 3 different communications from NDVO. 2 of them were through post letter and 1 was E-mail ( which was incomplete ) and then received that same incomplete E-mail communication through Post letter couple of days later.
Basically, its all confusing !!

Email ndvo and tell them to update your email id again becuse letter takes a month to reach due to poor postal service

Hi Everyone.....
A request to all would be landing immigrants....
Please start asking JohnMcCallum and JustineTrudeau on their Twitter page - When will the condition removal waiver on PR will be implemented
Its not just for me, its for each and every spouse who would be landing in Canada because many many landing spouses and harassed by their sponsors and they keep on suffering silently....
Its just that the removal of this condition saves the sponsored from all harassment...
its for all the sponsored people here....
Asking him on Twitter would build up the pressure, hopefully....
And for those all who are waiting, trust me this wait is nothing compared to the even bigger challeneges u will face in Canada - Job, Family front etc
All the best to everyone

One Question for IMM-5481 ( Sponsorship Evaluation form) It asked to fill last 12 month Net income preceding date of application.
I mentioned date of application is Aug-12/2016 . Do i need to calculate income from 2015/08/01 to 2016/08/11 ? or 2015 Income Tax CRA assessment notice information
Please advise

I already did E-mailed them couple of times regarding that and always its that same computerized reply that they will respond if the reason is justified and blah blah whatever :P :P
It takes almost 12-15 days to reach after the dispatched date !! Plus those letters are not even registered posts.. Totally Unprofessional

Hi Aqua,

Appreciate your cause, really. I'll surely be putting it though on Twitter shortly.

Hi Maggiemalhotra,

Our 19 months will be completed on September 25th. And yes I did MP inquiry and this is what I was told: They are conducting background and security checks still. And that you should wait until 19 months are over.
Yes it is my first marriage. Our interview went really well and the VO told my husband on the spot "Welcome to Canada" and I am going to be approving your case. But now we are 4 weeks after the interview and there is still no news of PPR or any other documents that they require (as she had said she would check and send us a new PCC request if it was expired, which it was but we never got a PCC request either). Now we have just sent a new PCC via email to NDVO so that maybe that will force them to look at the file if they haven't already looked at it yet. I don't know what is the hold up. The MPs are getting less and less friendlier to help as they are getting more and more requests from people to do a follow up on their applications, I think.

Hi Priya,

When did you receive your interview date ? I mean how long before were you intimated that you/spouse are lined up for interview ?

Also have faith in God, it's matter of days.
Hope you & everyone on forum gets shiny visa 's soon.

Hi Priya,

Did you linked your application under your account? what status it has over there? Don't send any other documents to NDVO/CIC until they demand. Sometimes it confuses them too.

If your MP is not supportive, just try to find the other nearest MP. Try another set of notes.
I agree with the steps suggested by pgu.
