Theres no need to inform cic if u dont want any changes on the application....cic is not bother of all the update aftr u hv submitted ur application...if they want any update frm our side they vil surely ask fr it.........if u inform cic by any means they vil sooner or later update that info on ur file.....address change wont affect the application processing by any means if thats the worry of the applicant.....

To receive pr fr dependent child is same as spousal sponsorship...u may follow this forum n u vil get idea of ndvo working style and which month is been processed.....ur file will be mostly processed with the other spousal applicants of oct 2015.....current processing time is 17 months....so we hv long way to go...patiently wait fr ur turn.....i hope ur trv extension is approved n u get one year extension so by then ur child vil get pr 8) do explain properly in ur trv extension abt the ongoing pr application of ur child n be 100% truthfull...good luck...god bless u n ur child :D

Also, I know we keep wondering about timelines and why some people get it faster than others etc.. I completely agree with what others members have said about the straight-forwardness of a case etc.. But I was looking at the NDVO 2015 spreadsheet and I feel most members are going by the Application Filed/Recd date and the important date is the date it was recd at NDVO .. so you may be a Feb 23 applicant but if your file reached NDVO on May 25 then you and a March 10 applicant whose file was also recd around May 25 have similar timeline.

This may be a silly realization but I had a AHA moment and thought it might help/assure someone if they are like me and worrying why some people from the same date as theirs is not getting any update.. And also help some others to determine if they need to apply for GCMS notes.

GCMS notes are essentially all of the notes that CIC will have on your file, it gives u a basic info about where your application has reached in terms of processing or what all checks have been cleared. it can only be ordered by a person living in canada. you can click in my signature on how to apply them or you can click on the following CIC link for more info:

Thank You Nabaaf. Processing time is 16 months for dependent child. As you said there is no much difference between spousal and dependent . I believe since there is no police and background verification needed for her , I was hoping we could get faster. Actually she has received her COPR when she was in India but she did not land as we both me and my husband shifted from Toronto to Vancouver and she was having only one week to complete her landing . So it was very touch timeline. We did reached out to CIC to extend her COPR but they rejected saying that they cant extend her case separately and we need to apply again under family sponsorship .Due to all this mess, we applied for new sponsor now and worrying about the same.

Thats kinda a rude actually...
well the reason is... its not been an year since she went back... and got a new job... she left her good job due to our marriage... Thanx... for suggesting anyways... i guess we are here to encourage each other... in these sort of situations... may be who all are questioning... will learn with time... god bless all...
 
I wish... April & May applicant will here in February from NDVO... I knw im talking about NDVO... still trying to be optimistic... ;D

It's no big deal if they take their own time however it would be great if they inform us about all the things happening on the application or on which stage its right now?
 
Believe it or not
Not knowing where ur applicant is hanging it pisses U off,ur unjust unaware wats repercussions are head waiting for u in future it disrupts all ur plans.

So fellows take it easy
 
It's better if we notify each other about the process
Everybody is facing an ordeal so it would be better for ppl if they don't comment on personal lives of members
It ain't easy for just landing up in here

no worries... Khan2001... We all are here to cheer each other up... and are in same boat.... waiting to get reunited with our loved ones... anyhow...
Seems like NDVO is in deep sleep... no update till now from any member.... also not even a single April candidate listened anything yet frm NDVO... though hope to hear some good news from all who are waiting their DMs, PPR and other updates... god bless all friends...
