Hi guys!

I recieved I guess its called "AOR" this is the first contact I've had from CIC. It was just an email to my lawyer (as he is the first point of contact on my application form). I sent out my file on Feb 27th rec'd this email on April 22nd at 9AM.

just stating that the spousal sponsorship application has been receieved by CI on 2015/03/13 and that a file number has been generated.

what now???? will I be waiting for the sponsorship approval from CIC now?

Now next Step is Sponsorship Approval(SA) and AOR2.
After SA your file will be sent to Specified Visa Office and Then you should get AOR2 from Visa Office. in Some case AOR2 has not been received as per some forum members.But you should be able to check ECAS. Then Local Visa Office Should Take care of Application if it is Outland Application

"By CIC is showing", you mean ECAS right? If it shows on ECAS then there is no need to send them another copy of your medical. I'm surprised they have received your medical prior to sponsorship approval. I sent mines back in February but they still haven't updated their system.

Application Received and that was way back in Oct 2014. I called CIC and they said it's been received in New Delhi. So the waiting till in progress begins at that day.

is it complusary to get our passport changed i.e married instead of unmarried details ?

it normally takes 15-25 days as I checked from other people's timeline , hope so it come asap

you have to apply the pcc from the passport office and they will send it to local office ... You hv to get appointment online and fill form from website and their help desk is open from 4-5 pm if you have questions can go and ask them .

applied later than I expected. Pc is from October.

no idea about that....it varies every year ..... Like it was very quick in year 2013 slowed a bit in 2014 ...hope they work faster on even odd years ;D

Today I got mail from CIC Canada about my PR application process.





Requirement for Medical Examination

If your sponsored relative(s) has (have) not already done so, your relative(s) must provide an original

Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B UPFRONT) signed by a Panel Physician or an E-Medical Upfront

Medical Notification information sheet. Your relative(s) must complete the medical examination

and, once completed, forward this information directly to the visa office noted above along with a copy

of this letter. Your application has been transferred to the visa office noting this deficiency. Your relative

must forward the medical information directly to the visa office to allow continued processing of his/her

application. Failure to do so will result in delays and possible refusal of your relative's application.




I already submitted the e medical tracking sheet with my PR application .but why they are saying medical exam deficiency ?
