So very interesting comment i got from my MPs assistant just now.

"You should not have ordered the GSMS notes because it delays the process." Since I told him i had ordered it, he refused to do any further inquiry on the case (very rudely). So obviously i got mad n stormed out of that office.

Notes has nothing to do with processing of the file. I had contacted one mp who didnt help me much but then i moved fo another mp. And because of her i got the interview letter as the secratary called immigration in canada to contact ndvo to send me the letter. N i got it within a week.
So i would suggest try another mp.

thanks guys n gals. Will go to another MP who seems much more helpful just by exchanging few emails with her.

And i found out from her that, they have a 'Hot line' especially for MPs to NDVO in order to do these sort of inquiries regarding immigration statuses.

I think ordering notes may not delay the process coz in my case I have order my notes on 25 Jan 2016 and got DM on Sunday and PPR yesterday have done u r full remedical or not if yes u will get DM and PPR soon my friend stay there buddy u r almost near have some patience I m sep 2014 applicant and male PA

helo...jassjot 2014..we r Feb 2015 applicnt.our medicl expired in Jan 2016 .as per notes..intervew waived.bt why we didn't get remedicl request till now...we r worried ...pls reply

U shud check with ur mp again and apply notes again. As there is member who applied in july but her file was revived in sept. So unyill now she thot she was july applicant waiting for interview letter but it turned out that she was september applicant. She had applied notes.

I emailed my MP, Immi minister and NDVO but didn't got reply from any of these fellas. And yes my file is received in July.

i think all july applicants got their date if i'm not wrong. i saw couple august applicants getting their dates last week. what's your timeline?

I m July applicant. I applied notes they haven't started with security and criminality check yet. I contacted MP,NDVO and Immi minister via email didn't got reply from anyone.

Fax NDVO and state clearly that you have pass the 17 months processing time.
Call your MP the tell them you have crossed the 17 months processing time.

If you order electronic notes via email it doesnt effect processing time. The electronic file for GCMS notes are generated in Ottawa office.
But if you request physical file, it has to be taken out of the queue and placed back in NDVO. That would involve dealys. I hope everybody is doing electronic file request. Actually I was thinking of making request of physical file copy as there might be something in physical file which is not in electorinc file which is causing the delay in my case.

BTW anji536, Can you please eleborate which immigration office in Canada did your MP office contact?
Our MP is making MP inquiry call centre at Montreal Office which is not yielding any results. They are just looking at application filed date and doing nothing.

email your MP office with below quote from Immigration minister of their own govt and full story

No i haven't done a full remedical. Only chest xrays back in november 7th 2015. I hope so man. After talking to this so called public helper i have lost faith completely in our government. Very sad n frustrating.

I tell him it'll be almost 2years and he tells me i am lucky because some countries its 36months.. like wtf ..

The secratry didnt tell me where he is calling.but just told me he has contacted immigration in canada. I m in ottawa though

I think your 17 months processing time has not yet completed that's and medical is valid for 15 months after that you will get remedical request

Hello Everyone,

I completed my landing formalities on 4th March. As I was in Canada on TRV, I went to the Rainbow bridge to complete my landing formalities.
It was quiet easy and quick process.
People at both Canada and US border were very helpful and friendly.
Thanks to all of you for your support through this long wait time.

I wish everyone gets to meet their beloved very soon.

Yes she asked him questions as to why he came back and left studies in between and why he didnt tried to apply for study visa again.. She also asked him the college he went to in canada. She wanted to know just the reason of him coming back and not going again at that time...

What reasons your husband replied to visa officer for not applying study visa again and not going back to Canada? please help me, Iam in interview que and visa officer can ask same question to me. I too stayed in canada on student visa for 11 months in 2009, returned back to India, due to family problems and did not complete studies
