Nothing yet, just got my notes yesterday but nothing new same as before they have not even started security check. Every week starts with a new hope but it's again same every coming week, don't know when wait will b over. This NDVO guys sucks.

Its so disheartning. I dnt know wen our wait will b over

all interview candidates should all really do something about this. i feel like if we don't take a step things will be like this slow. 22-24 months is not a matter of joke specially when we dont have red flags. i'm so frustrated guys. everytime i check my status in ECAS, i feel like they have lost my file or something :(

Anybody read this? It says they r gonna reduce processing time as well.

He said that his department is working on coming up with plans to speed up the application processing times. Mr. McCallum did not offer a specific target timeframe for reducing the application processing times, but said that it will be brought down “radically.”

Not for us. Maybe for 2017 applicants. We're not getting any relief.

Hello everyone,

Finally our wait is over - Wife received her Passport stamped with the VISA - the process was quite fast and Passport was returned within 4 days after submission.
Our case was straight forward with interview waived and we still had to wait about 17 and a half months from the date application was submitted to the day VISA was stamped. We certainly got a lot of help and assistance from our local MP - very thankful for this.

For all those 2014 applicants still waiting with interview waived - Please keep visiting your local MP and have them put in those enquiries for you as to what is happening and the status of the application as to where the case has reached so far.

If anyone needs any assistance please feel free to reach out to me - I will still be checking into this forum and will be glad to assist.

Even mine is second marriage and interview waivered. Reason is I never sponsored first wife. Notes says no hit sponsorer. But still struck after remed request.
I think some officers look into details and some dont. But for 98% of cases what I said is accurate.
One of the applicant had interview recommended. He again sent more proof of his india visit proof and pictures he got PPR without interview (search vicky2patel). You can try sending recent spousal visit photos, flight boarding pass etc. But no guarantee thought.

We submitted all proofs, all rituals on wedding, submitted enough documents, photos, communication proofs, post-wedding relationship photos, both first marriage, no age gap , equal qualified... I never thought about Interview....still Interview recommended (as per MP inquiry/GCMS Notes). It does not mean that if your Interview waived .. your case is more strong... it depends upon visa officer who decide whether interview should be recommended or not. jannat kapadia , 20 feb 2014 applicant, one of divorced applicant got interview waived, I am 26 nov 2014 applicant waiting for Interview date. NDVO screws many genuine marriage applicants, and fake or fraud marriage applicants still immigrating to Canada without any Interview.

unfortunately quick marraige is red flag as per NDVO.
Send more documents now. It might work.

Quick arranged marriage within 10 days after first meet in India , engagement just 3 days before marriage, submitting less proofs before marriage, we submitted only one time Skype chat and 2 pages whatsapp chat prints, not submiting phone conversation before marriage, submitting only 1 month phone calls details after marriage.. ...may be few reasons for putting interview, but I don't agree with newdelhi visa officers reasons for interview recommendation decisions

but after marriage relationship we had submitted all photos proofs, outside photos submitted. No else reason. But quickly marriage is not reason for the interview. NDVO screwed many guiniun applicants like us for interviews. Ideology of newdelhi visa officers need to be changed.

Usually document request will delay the process. Minimum is 1 month max is 6 months.
If there is any kind of suspension or complex it will be kept in queue for 3 months to be reviewed by higher officer.
Ya, It seems so. When i look back at our processing and document requests, i feel it will get delayed. But its already been 6 months without communication and that's upsetting.

All 2014 applicant should pick up phone and say new reforms are good but what about people waiting in queue for 1.5 years?
Is there any plan to clear backlog.
