Hello Guys, I see that applicants are getting passport request. Congratulation.

I had a question about the re-med requests. Some background, the email address that cic has for my spouse is wrong and we have requested them to correct it but as NDVO doesn't confirm if the changes are made, we are blind now on what's happening

Few questions
1. Is everyone getting remeds?
2. I am a march applicant. When can i expect remed email (4 weeks before?)? Do they send a snail mail as well?
3. Does ECAS get updated with remed request? If yes, how long does it take for ECAS to be updated

after you receive remed email?

4. How long do they give you to complete the remed?
5. Is there a risk to do a remed without the request? Do we need to take any letter from CIC to do remed?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Draxx1289
Thanks for your timely response.According to the cic link 18 months includes the time file remains in Missisuaga. As the website states
Spouse or common-law partner living outside Canada

18 month(s) ?
Includes assessment of sponsor: 62 days
Anyhow so I will go for Mp inquiry. And one more thing are there chances of NVDO asking additional docs or something even after remed?

Hey,

Historically up until last week it has been 17 months plus the time it takes here in Mississauga - this is specifically for NDVO
Either way you look at it the processing time is roughly 16 sorry not 18 months if you minus the 62 days which is just 2 months shy of the 18 months.

Asking the re-meds is mostly a good sign since it could mean they are in the final stage but if they havent finished the other stages they could technically ask for more documents though rare but it has happened

Hello guys, quick question..

My wife received FULL IME Request - Immigration Medical Examination with a form attached to the email for the doctor to fill out

Is this normal? We did upfront meds in July 2014 which is now expired but she received an email on December 22nd for the full med request asking her to complete that now. Normally I seen people receive re-med request for chest x ray and what not but this is something different - the email says we reached to a stage where we require your medical examination, etc etc.

Is this normal? Has anyone else received this before?

Thanks,
RV

It's so frustrating to wait after DM... 4 day and still no PPR request. Is it normal to have status changed to DM but no lines added?

I wouldn't mind the wait as long as they can inform me of the current status. For example, I would be okay with it if they say we have made Decision on your file, and we will inform you in writing within next 2 weeks or something. Or when you do re-medical, they actually update the status saying we have received your re-medical and we are processing your application. The lack of transparency is the thing which annoys me the most.

GUYS, Please need some advise. Im a December Applicant. My wife's Medical got expired on nov 17, we got remedical request on December 4th and completed in few weeks here in Canada. We received our GCMS notes last week, Under Medical section - It Still shows our old Medicals which was expired.

Does GCMS notes shows the new medical reassessment that we completed ???

Hi, I am a dec 2014 applicant, we just got our notes, it says interview recommended :( :( Any idea which month applicants are getting the interview request and how long do i have to wait?

How is the interview process going to be? What would they ask?

The notes says that security and criminality - not started, medical - passed.
FOSS checked - no adverse information.
Comments section - they say PA ans Sponsor are compatible in age and marital status. and they have brief description about our meeting and wedding. they also mention that we have a good comfort level and all, but still "Recommended Interview" :(

I have a few more questions.
1. What kind of cases are usually recommended for interview?
2. What kind of questions can we expect?
3. When they call for an interview, should I alone attend or can my husband be there with me?
4. How long should i wait after the interview to get the visa?
5. As per the new processing time its 18 months overall, including SA approvals, so does that mean it applies for 2014 applicants also and will the interview also be completed within 18 months?
6. Can I apply for a work visa or a trv while i wait for my interview?

Ours is a very straight forward case. First marriage for both, 3 year age gap between us. Arranged marriage. Undergone all the hindu rituals for the wedding. It was a big fat Indian wedding not a small ceremony. Shared all the communications and photos with the embassy.

Seniors who have undergone interview process, please through some light. All your help is much appreciated.

hey my husband is also a July applicant. but we still haven't received our re meds. for us every thing is frozen. I came to live with him for now until he gets his visa. and I was hopping to visit the office my self. but I don't know if they will allow before processing time. my case is crucial because I am now pregnant with our first child and I need to go back to Canada with him.

It is sad to hear that they didn't even sent you remed yet.And I really dont know if visiting the visa office is going to help or not.Senior forum members can advice on this.I think the best thing you can do atm is go for a case specific inquiry.Another option can be to contact your MP and ask him whats going on with your file.
