I have a bit of a concern that has been bugging me for the past couple of days. My husband went for his medical long before we even sent our spousal sponsorship application to CIC and his medical has actually expired as of December 2015.

My husband went for his medical on December 12, 2014.

CIC recieved my application for processing on March 13th, 2015

CIC started processing my application on: April 21st, 2015

CIC transferred my file to NDVO in may i guess because NVDO started processing my application on June 5th, 2015.

his medical expired in December 2015, it is now January 2016. is this a bad thing? should I be worried?

Hey,

No you don't have to be worried at all. You are a Feb 27th applicant and people from Dec-Feb are still getting remedicals you will get it very shortly and more over your file was transferred in June 2015 its still taking 10-11 from the time the file is received in NDVO.

In this case you are right that we should wait for a lil bit. However,MP enquiry is our right.

I think its definitely a good thing to contact the MP if the applicant knows everything has been approved and still waiting or something is wrong but I would totally agree applicants should not just initiate an MP inquiry while being routinely processed as we have been so many replies coming back saying they are now not responding the MP inquiry.

Application processing times 26 months!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!

I think you should definitely wait since its hardly been a month and given we had holidays in between you are still in the timeline; on average it take any where from 10 days to 3 months after remedicals since they could still be doing background checks etc.

MP inquiries done correctly and at the right time is definitely a gold mine to gain information and to move the file along but preempting it now will not allow you to initiate another one for a little while in case you don't hear back for months like us or others since most MPs will not do it for couple or months.

A good post by ROB_TO

"Everyone should really stop thinking that the new posted times are actually real times. They are not. There is no way an application for someone from say the US, will take as long as someone from say Pakistan. The communication between CIC and the US is very quick and easy, while with other countries there are long delays in getting security and background checks done. So by simply giving a 1-time-for-all on the website, I would say that time is pretty much completely useless and you shouldn't even bother looking at it. People should still see quick processing times from certain visa-exempt offices, and longer processing times from others.

I would suggest to keep an eye on the excel file i linked to from the opencanada government site, and hopefully they update is shortly. With this file you can see the actual stats and times for each office."

They have given a positive division regarding our file since October 2015. M 3rd oct 2014 applicant. Pls guide me what that mean when can I expect ppr

If you have already got remed, I think its better approach to MP support letter and apply for visitor visa.
I think because visa office would have most likely reviewed your application once, you will most likey get visitor visa. Its bit expensive but you dont have to wait for those stupid checks and reviews to complete.

Wow draxz. This is really odd why they would just average the sponsorship processing times for countries. Someone definity tipped the ball over.

Last time I check processing times was 17 months then 18 months then 26 months?

Can someone clarify what's going on?
