Thank you ! That makes sense, I guess I will order the notes. Also I was wondering if anyone got their PPR while their spouse was in Canada, did you have any trouble in processing it from Ottawa ?

At this point there wont be any update on the file so ordering the notes might not be fruitful but no harm..
Also once you send a request to change the address they will not acknowledge nor will it get updated on ECAS right way and the only way to know that the address change was made is through the notes..

We send ours and didnt get any update nor was it updated on ECAS but in the automated email it said they will not contact us nor the change will be made online.

They mostly contact using email but there has been cases of getting regular mail so you should definitely order to notes to see if the change has taken place.

yes I saw that and here is my comment from the main thread. I think its good and looks like it applied for all visa offices immediately

Seems definitely like a streamlined process. 10 days for SA which is included in the 18 months is good news - we had to wait 90 days for SA
and the maximum it can take 18 months to fully process seems and of course it means they would be working extra quick to move files along.

I am also confused on the "Applications received after the maximum has been met may have to wait longer to be processed." statement.

Does anyone know what are the due dates on notes about??

From what we have seen the due dates dont mean anything since they dont hit it at all.

Yes!. I am not even sure we interpreting it rightly what those deadlines really mean. i got mix opinion on it but just one of those things.

Not sure if everyone has seen as akss1983 mentioned they have changed the meaning of the processing times - its 18 months across visa offices which includes 10 days for SA.

Nothing. Got notes yesterday. First eligibility was done. Then the file was put up for second review. Security and criminality were not started.

How do you know it went for second review? Does it specifically state so in the notes? Can you tell me where? Thanks.

happy new year everybody!

Yes
Down below where it gives a brief summary about the relationship, there it states that my file will be set up for a second review. On the 2nd last page. And i only have 32 pages not 35.
