Hello,
Happy Morning Deep Son
Oh God!! It's again confusing me :(
1. Do you have any travel history??
2. Security and criminality checks takes 2 to (max) of 3 weeks of time (if you don't have any travel history) . In your notes last few pages top right of the corner have they mentioned s.15??
3. As far as IP is concerned the moment an immigration officer have started reviewing your file they change the e-cas as IP these days.
4. You said they have asked for your additional documents if you don't mind me asking may I know what sort of additional docs they had asked for??

Is there any one in the forum who had gone for MP inquiry or applied for GCMS notes after getting their re-medical request??? I guess they can help us with this issue :)

This is my wild guess I may also be wrong
I still feel after completing all the checks i.e Eligibility,Medicals, Background checks (security, criminality and RFV checks) they ask for Re - Medicals.
Else why will an IO ask for Re- Medicals if an applicant has not cleared their background checks it's a waste of time for them and waste of time and money 4 us.

My answers preetiV

1. Yes , I do have travel history - UK and Dubai as a visitor. Not for long, just short holidays.
2. In the right hand corner - s.19(1) is mentioned. I found out the following :

Personal information

19. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the head of a government institution shall refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains personal information as defined in section 3 of the Privacy Act.
Marginal note:Where disclosure authorized

(2) The head of a government institution may disclose any record requested under this Act that contains personal information if
(a) the individual to whom it relates consents to the disclosure;
(b) the information is publicly available; or
(c) the disclosure is in accordance with section 8 of the Privacy Act.

4. Additional documents were - A) Travel history - Mine and my husbands. We attached the passport stampings of each and every travel etc.
B) My work details + personal details since when I turned 18 years old. (This was submitted, yet they asked again)

Regarding MP inquiry, 4 days after the request from NDVO for remeds and additional docs, we got a call from the MP's office asking us to submit these documents. We informed them that we have received the request and shall submit asap.

Your question #2 was a very intelligent and wise one !! I appreciate your observation and in depth study of GCMS notes :)

Hi guys,
Can someone please tell me by your experience what is possibly happening with my file? the wait is killing me like a lot of you guys.

I got my UCI on nov 17, 2014. My status is AR on Sep 19, 2014. Nothing has been changed since then, neither have i been requested for re-meds or anything.
i ordered notes few days back so still waiting on those. I don't know how to do a MP enquiry. Please advise. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Guys this forum is great but i just realized that it is very hard to maintain the file and view the time line of applicants

Can we all update the file in this forum so we have consistency and every one can see the time line of applicants

Hi again,

I hope for a speedy visa for you and everyone else. I would only suggest wait till your notes trust me it will clear everything. I know the wait is difficult. But give it some time, the sky will become clear.
Once you receive your notes. Give us some feedback, the community would be happy to help you.

No sweet heart my confusion is clear now
There are totally 3 category where the applicants has to clear:
1. Eligibility (where they check the genuineness of the wedding).
2. Medicals
3. Background checks which mainly comprises of Security, criminality and Rfv Check

In RFV CHECK (Ready For Visa) they mainly look in for your Permanent residence address,Landing fees receipt.

After completion of all the checks they are asking for Re Medicals.

Once the decision is made on the file they will request only PPR.

so u can chillax dear :D ;D

Thanks, Preeti and Sunny. +1 to both.

hi shivshaz
Since u got in process September 6....hopefully very soon u might get re-meds request, wait for that. usually they send request when they are satisfied with ur file ( background checks are done)...so my guess is that it may take min 20 days to max 30 days. u ll hear it soon :)

Hi SHIVSHAZ, you should hear from the NDVO regarding your remedical soon; probably in the coming week itself. They usually send a remedical request after your other checks are cleared. Don't worry. :)

Hi love4life,
You can ask your spouse in Canada to contact an MP there and provide him/her with your file details. The MP will then take it from there and provide a feedback on your application. Your notes should clear a lot of doubts, too. An MP enquiry is just faster than GCMS notes so that will help ease your anxiety. Wish you a speedy visa. :)

Yayyyyy I got my passport with the shiny visa.Thankyou everyone in this forum for guidance and support nd I wish everyone good luck for speedy process

Nothing so far. I guess they will start doing something once our medical will expire.
I don't know what NDVO is upto. We did MP enquiry and they said to wait for 8 more months.
I don't know what to do. :(

Omg !! 8 months more! This is unacceptable. They should not be able to keep families apart like this. We try to follow all rules and this is what we get in return. A friend brought her fiancé from South Africa already. Not even a few months!! So unfair :(

Hello P. Thank you for all your insight !! So if partner travelled a lot to visit friends on vacations are you saying this could effect time it takes to process application and checks? This could hold up process? Just trying to understand why takes so long.
