Hi Tenso. I don't think that should create any problem with your application as its not part of your travel and residential history in various countries. It won't cause a setback, rest assured. :)

Hey, thanks. Well, hopefully, we all get to hear some good news very soon. I see, you too are waiting for DM after your remedicals. Let's just say, a change is just around the corner. Good luck :)

You're welcome and thanks for your good wishes. My status changed to DM exactly two weeks ago. No passport request yet, though. I hope we all get to that corner of change soon, then. Fingers crossed. Good luck to all of us

I just want to get over with this process.... not able to wait any more.. it is taking just way too long.. the painful thing is that i applied 4-5 months late.. so actually my wife is in India after marriage from almost 16 months now :( :(

Dont worry sunny you are almost there and you should hear back this month end so hang in there.
You guys have your entire life to look forward too

Hi guys, after going thru the last few pages of this forum I have a few doubts-
~ Does anyone know what is the validity period of the remedical tests?
~ Also, I read on the forum that having travel history could cause a delay in the background checks. This is really scary for me as I do have a few years on constant international travels.
Any thoughts?

Hi, Sufiana,
As Preetiv mentioned, travel history make cause some delay as they need to verify and do background checks for that country too, but only if you have lived in that place for 6 months or more. That's why they ask PCC's for that. But if you have made short vacations, like me, I don't think it will cause any delay.

And remedical validity is valid for 12 months, I guess.
That's what I have understood. Hope this helps.

Well I too have travel history. I have stayed Iin Australia for 2 yrs. And have been to Malaysia and Dubai for short trips.
I have already sent them PCC for Australia but I am not sure if they have received it or not.

I got my notes today... criminality has been passed. As per notes, officer added notes to my files on Sep 1st that " Please send medical re-assessment request". But still i get request almost after month on Sep 24th.

In addition to this, he added following:

" I am satisfied PA is a member of the family class. Relationship established through satisfactory supporting documents including photos of marriage ceremony and celebration, as well as proof of ongoing communication. PA and SPR seem naturally happy and comfortable together. They also seem compatible in many aspects. Based on the evidence provided and the facts of the case, on the balance of probabilities, i am satisfied that the relationship between sponsor and applicant appears to be genuine and that the applicant meets the requirement of the IRPA. Eligibility passed "

Atleast this made me happy ;D ;D
