Hey guys,

I had a quick question. On my AO2 letter it says, We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada......In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible....1. Payment....2. Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older for the time spent in that country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note if you or your family member were under 18 years of age (16 year of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do no need to provide a police certificate for that country.

Now my questions is its just my wife who's planning to come to Canada, does that mean we have to do police certification for the rest of her family member even if they're not coming to Canada?

This might be a stupid question.

Thanks!

Have you or your children travelled abroad OR outside India ? ..If yes then you have to submit PCC from that foreign country.
I had lived in Canada on valid student visa for around 10 months .. and We had already submitted Canada PCC along with India PCC in our application.

today i m totally broke i can not wait anymore. Why CIC punish me?
On MP enquiry they said are working and 10 days left and no update. i applied for notes but i m loosing my patience i donot understand what i should i do to keep my self stable. God pls help me.

August , September , October , November and now December applicants are getting "In Process", but where is DM/PPR ?
2 weeks ago, almost 9-10 oct applicants got IP, including me. I am getting little scared now... with so many applicants on " In process" , hopefully now they stop giving IP, and start clearing the files that is already on IP.

Previously, if you are IP, it was taking 4-6 weeks to get PPR/DM. Now if you look at excel sheet, applicants are full of IP.

We got married just 3 days after our engagement. Reason that my wife landed India just 10-11 days before our engagement and 3 days after our engagement was our marriage ceremony. Is that any problem ? (short time frame ) .
In Fact After our marriage .... My wife stayed with me , our family for one month after marriage , then she had to go back to Canada to resume her job.

Those who are left from IP, I think might be left for Interview.
This is how NDVO works. Good luck for everyone.

i don't think so.. if you look at the excel sheet, there are just way too many people on IP. Not all of them can have interview.
now they r making it look like IP is not big thing. Even after IP applicant will have to wait.

Well lets see what happen personally with me. I just finished 1 week with IP. Lets see how quickly i get updates. My close friend got everything done in 1 month after IP. This was last year November.

Seniors can you guys plz explain what are the process in IN PROCESS stage thanks

Our files have to pass 4 different categories, namely the medical, security, criminality and eligibility.

1. Medicals are checked first since the medical reports are being sent at the same time as the application.
2. Then comes the eligibility, where they check the genuineness of a marriage. Once they are fully convinced, they pass the eligibility category as well after which our online status goes In Process.

So basically, the applications have passed only the medical and eligibility. The files are now undergoing the security/criminality checks and the time duration for that depends on case to case for example, number of countries visited, any crimes committed blaah blaah..and these checks are done in a group. Several applications have been assigned in an group so all those applications follow each other at the same time. Some time they give these files to an agency who does the background checks. So once, we pass the security/criminality, application files will be forwarded to the final decision making officers and we'll get a status update as decision made (on e-cas) once they approve the files.

So you mean my status shows in process that mean my medical and eligibility part is done? So how long more time will it takes to reach descion made thanks in advance

It takes some people 1 month to go from IP to Decision made (DM). Some people it takes 3 months from IP to DM. No one can tell you for sure. So sit tight and enjoy the ride.
You are still way ahead of some people whose file is stuck.

Hi Sunny, thanks for the information, as per you said our ECIAS status shows DM since Augest 5th which means Our file went through eligibility , criminility, security and so on, but no notification after that (PPR or any other ). At this point what should we expect. I did request for an MP enquiry, sent a Case specific Enquiry, sent an e-mail to NDVO....... Nothing worked. Here people says it wont take that long to get PPR after DM
