Well frankly I am counting from the day I received my AOR2 from delhi office not even from SA as that time file might not even reached here in their office, application filed date is for the sponsor and for that they have separate processing timings in days but NDVO has clearly mentioned 16 months as their processing timings. How can they work from the date of application filed even without actually receiving the file. Well that's mine opinion only. May be other forum members have different opinion regarding this.

Hi I applied on 11 August 2014 and application recieved on 2 oct 2014 so from which date shud I start counting my processing time

Guys, clearly there is way too much confusion on the system or the process which seems to have changed lately.
There are way too many files from last year june still that are pending yet files in oct have started....which is confusing. To me it seems like to mantain the average wait of "16" months, they have gone ahead and will surely come back to pending files from june, etc.

What doesnt make sense to me is that there are now applicants whos ecas has changed to In Process but upon clicking the underlined status, it still shows AR/MR.
I am a december 2014 applicant and that has happened to me....can someone explain this new pattern which seems to be happening lately?

Technically 16 months processing time starts when your file gets transferred to NDVO. However, the average time it takes for a file to complete these days are anywhere from 9 months to 13 months till you receive the visa.

The application time starts from the day, you get SA. I have landed in Canada on 17th July 2015. Somebody if needbe please update the spreadsheet with info.

Also thought to share my experience.

1. Never go for remedical on ur own, in remedical only certain tests are required. When u get the remedical request just tell the doctor they write urgent on ur remedical case and get the data uploaded at earliest. Also, dont think that ur ECAS will be updated with the remedical results as in case of remedical it ECAS doesnt get updated, atleast not happened in My case
2. In case your file is decision made and you have not got a PPR in one week, please dont wait even for a day, go for an MP enquiry. There is absolutely no harm of a MP enquiries, it helps a lot.
3. About landing in Canada, it is very easy, no requirement as such to carry money. Please make sure you give canada address to immigration officer at Airport.
4. Even if you are not carrying a list of items and gold evaluation with you at the time of entrance that is not at all a problem and you can also get that submitted in any later entry into canada
5. Try to update your address on ECAS by gng into " Change of Address Option" on cic website as not doing this may lead to delay in PR card.
6. Apply for SIN no and MSP at earliest
7. Make sure you carry travel insurance for atleast three months as government does not cover you in insurance for first 3 months. Getting Insurance from India is way too cheaper than in Canada
8. You do not need a PR card to open a Bank account or for a credit card, you can do the same with COPR (Conformation of Permanent Residency) paper and passport
9. You can drive for 3 months in British Columbia (That i am sure of) but while driving u need to have your passport and copr with you
10. Please carry a proof of insurance of a vehicle (2 or 4 wheeler) from your insurance company for last 3 to 4 years, preferably insurance where there is no claim, this will help you to get a great discount when you buy a car insurance in Canada, please note here car insurance is very expensive.

I think i have listed too much :P

Last but not the least, Congrats to all who have got IP, DM or PPR & all the best who are awaiting. Dont worry you will get visa soon, it is a process that needs to be followed and takes time

Nothing is happen to your case actually some officer are honestly working in NDVO and some are just enjoy there time in AC . if you are not believe this pls check my time line...

I am 26 Nov, 2014 Indian applicant and I had lived in Canada 6 months on valid student visa in the past and we had already submitted Canada PCC from RCMP in advance along with India PCC in application. How much more time New delhi visa office will take for criminality background check (Foreign travel) ? Still AR/MR. How much more time we have to wait for status change in-process ?

no news on my side yet. my husband's file been in process since 18 may 2015. today is our 18 months since we applied :'( :'( :'( :( :( :(
