Hi all just a question because I am a little bit worries, my wifes ECIAS status changed to DM last week, but yet no other information from NDVO......... I am hoping PPR soon....... But why they are not contacting us..........? Out medicals will expire by Augest 22. Is that one of the reason......? My wife is with me in Canada in her visit visa......... Does anybody have any suggestion why NDVO is taking time to get back to us.....?

I am 26 Nov, 2014 Indian applicant and I had lived in Canada for more than 6 months on valid student visa in the past, CLEAN TRAVEL HISTORY and we had already submitted Canada PCC from RCMP along with India PCC in our spouse PR application. How much more time New delhi visa office will take for criminality background check ?

Congrats, can you pls share your detail timeline, SA date and AOR2 month
I can't seem to find where to fill in the details so it appears under my username on the left, but here it is:

Meds: Aug 2014
App Filed: Sept 29, 2014
SA/AOR: Nov 6, 2014
AOR2/File Transfer: Nov 19, 2014
IP: Aug 12, 2015

Her meds have just expired, so I'm hoping for a quick PPR. I vaguely remember reading on this forum that NDVO has the power to extend medical validity by up to a year, is that true?

Or should we expect a re-medical request pretty soon? (And if so, how long do they take to look at the file again once medicals are done for the 2nd time?)

been IP for more than 6 months now!!!! I don't get what is taking them so long!!!!!!! I stopped checking the forum for a while myself but looks like they haven't done much yet.....they make no sense older 2014 applicants are still waiting and they are working on newer files i don't even think they have a system to work on the files they pick up random files whenever they feel like it jerks

There is generally a lot of questions recently about remedical and NDVO as slowed down and a lot of people's medical is expiring before they go PPR. In generally, if you are sep/oct/nov applicants, i would recommend you wait for your remed letter as you would enter IP and it seems the remed letter are issued quickly around that time.

As for individuals who are april-july'ish ones whose med have expired over 2-3 months now with no remedical request, jsut get it done and send it to NDVO. This is what happened in my case, the med expired, waited a long time, went for it ourselves and got a full remed. After going IP, they sent us the remed request and i sent a case specific inquiry letting them know that we had already sent an updated new medical and got a reply back from NDVO after a month stating that they have received the new med and to ignore the request letter they sent. exactly a month from that email, we got PPR. so, from IP to DM/PPR for us is around 2.5 months which seems to be the standard time lately.

Remember that without a valid, NDVO will never issue a PPR or actual visa. They extend it before *it expires* to accomadate your travel but i doubt they extend after it has already expired. So, try to keep your medical always valid for you files to move forward.
