Hi guys,

I am in the process of applying for my wife and debating Inland vs. Outland. The Outland wait from New Delh is stated as 18 months on the CIC website. Can you guys please share your experiences in terms of how long your applications took to be approved compared to what the CIC website said? Was it less, more or the same as what they said it would be?

Not sure what it was for you guys but 18 is too bloody long.....

The official wait time for New Delhi is 16 months. Most of the applications are cleared in 8-10 months if the application is complete and the officer is satisfied with the proof of your relationship. Should always consider outland as it is faster and you can also apply for TRV to stay together. :)

Read this for better understanding of Inland and outland.

You can definitely apply for TRV. There is no harm in applying for TRV. But you need to show enough proof that you would not over stay and would come back to India, while your PR is still under process.

Hi,

Well, no one can give you a confirmed news buddy. NDVO's process is not transperant enough for us to know as to how they are working. We can only guess from the spreadsheet that they are working on Aug applicants. I hope you hear soon, but the way NDVO is working it looks like you would have to wait for 4-5 months.

All the best.

Thank you so much! Am hoping, if they maintain this speed, i should be in a position to hear some news from them by the end of October, this year.

Went into 'in process' in September.
Asked for remedical & PCC from another country that I was residing in, in late November.
Asked for passport copy in March.

Note that my case was slightly complicated because of all these expiries + living outside India until recently.

Calm down jammy, there is nothing to worry. It takes 10-15 working days to get your PP back. Sat and Sunday they dont work. So it is hardly 4 days since you submitted your PP.

All the best. :)
