+1, thanks innosense. Makes me lean more towards my idea of going to CA and submitting the passport from there when the PPR comes in. Only grey area I see is having to rely on the immigration authorities/border control being ok with me staying for that long & extending my visit visa so as to fulfil the +3 months criteria mentioned in your attachment.

@ Deep Son - you and I have somewhat similar timelines, 1-2 months apart. What's your take on it being more than a year since we submitted our applications?

Hello Alltron

Yup, it's the 14th month now and me and my husband are at our wits end as to what next !!
CGMS - All good.
MP enquiry - No news from the MP's office.

Next attempt is TRV - Keeping our fingers crossed.

Hi blocker, that is correct. In their(NDVO's) exact words - "A copy of your valid passport (only the bio page & last page) must be received at this office by 2015/4/28."

Slight correction, I received this email 14th of March 2015, not February.

have you done your remedical???
mine is too in process since dec

Nope....haven't done since they did not ask for it....my lawyer is planning to send an enquiry next week.Lets see if they respond although I doubt they will.

I hope I am wrong but is it true that lots of people in the forum here are not spousal sponsorship, if so please specify your case in profile detail before sharing half info on your file and stop stressing others.

As the thread is only for spousal category (refer first page)

Thanks.

I suppose we are the ones who are stuck. MP enquiry too is taking its own sweet time. Initiated that on April 13th and so far no news. Was told by MP's assistant that it could take anywhere between 1 and 4 weeks so waiting for full 4 weeks before I can get any update. In the meantime trying for TRV for my wife.

I did an MP inquiry and NDVO replied to them in less than a week but what information I got was pretty useless. I don't think the MP's office can't really push to get more information than what it already shows online. All they told me is that my case is in queue for a final review. They did not say anything about why it was taking so long for us to get a Passport Request or Decision Made.

I think I helped the case worker get more information that NDVO did when I told her about the Excel file from this forum.

The fact that your husband visited Canada several times besides being a PR of Australia (I would love to relocate to Australia/NZ or UK or South Africa to that matter if I get a chance; If my wife was a PR of any of these countries, I would have ditched Canada and asked her to sponsor me there :-) lol ) has several things in his favour. So my educated guess is that he should get his TRV besides rest assured it won't impact his PR application negatively as long as you/he is truthful on the TRV application. Hope this helps.

Thanks bugglboy! I really appreciate your positive respond. We will try for TRV. I am really scared of this waiting period and I have seen some 2013 people are also stuck with NDVO. It's not fair at all....

Thanks
