Hi there,

I am new to this forum. My time line is as follow;

App received : Nov 3rd 2014
Confirmation letter: Jan 16th 2015
SA : Jan 28th 2015
File transfer to NDVO: Jan 28th 2015

Online status SA/AR/MR

No AOR2 from New Delhi yet...it's been five months now
Able to check online status with his expired TRV UCI No and of course with my UCI No

Both are having second marriage after three years relation with full family involvement. My husband
Visited Canada so many times before our marriage. Now his visa is expired and he needs a new TRV.
He has 10 years us visa plus Australia's PR but he is based in Delhi. What are the chances for him to get TRV again while his PR is under process. It won't have any negative impact on his PR application. We both are having good professional background.

I really appreciate your time and attention.

Best of luck everybody ;D ;D

The fact that your husband visited Canada several times besides being a PR of Australia (I would love to relocate to Australia/NZ or UK or South Africa to that matter if I get a chance; If my wife was a PR of any of these countries, I would have ditched Canada and asked her to sponsor me there :-) lol ) has several things in his favour. So my educated guess is that he should get his TRV besides rest assured it won't impact his PR application negatively as long as you/he is truthful on the TRV application. Hope this helps.

Congratulations tintumon ! Which agency in kerala was it ? So did the agent help you out in your application ?

It take actually 15 working days. I applied on first week of april and got approved on april 26th

Hey guys,

I was thinking of going and living in Canada on my visit visa for the months until I get PR. I have a 10 year visit visa which I think enables me to live there for 6 months at a time.

The issue I see is, if I leave tomorrow and get an email from New Delhi the next day asking me for my passport, I'll have to come back(see my timeline <). So I was wondering if they have a provision to submit the passport in Canada to be stamped instead?

Btw, for those struggling with a TRV here, I got mine before I applied for PR. But I don't think there should be a problem in getting one after your pr application. Also, wasn't there some news recently that Indians now have visa on arrival after PM Modi's visit to Canada?

Hi Jammy, it's 'in process'.
* Did a re-medical in December as they asked me for it.
* Sent a copy of my passport front and back page as they asked for it in February.

Note that I was permanently working outside India until March of this year and I've let them know that I'm back, via email & courier. Iactually came back to make it easier for me and them for when they ask for my passport.

when actually u got in process status change in ecase??

and is ur passport is expired actually?

I have to say it, when you are in Canda on a visitor visa and at the same time you get a PPR you could approch a local CIC office to send your passport to the right authority in Canada. I dont know about other places but in Edmonton its Canada place. This is been told by one agent from cic when I asked them about this.

Status changed to 'in process' September of last year.
My passport had expired last year but I sent them a notification last year it self along with scanned copies of my new passport.

Tintumon- that's great. Which means I don't have to wait in India. Nor does anyone have to wait back really, I reckon. Is there anyway I can get an official confirmation. How do I approach an agent like you did?

On a multiple entry visit visa you can stay in Canada for at least 6 months at a time. There are also options to apply for extensions while in Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=417&t=16

Below instructions are part of the passport request pdf which NDVO sends out. I got it from one of the forum members.
It will be nice if more ppl can confirm it.

+1, thanks innosense. Makes me lean more towards my idea of going to CA and submitting the passport from there when the PPR comes in. Only grey area I see is having to rely on the immigration authorities/border control being ok with me staying for that long & extending my visit visa so as to fulfil the +3 months criteria mentioned in your attachment.

@ Deep Son - you and I have somewhat similar timelines, 1-2 months apart. What's your take on it being more than a year since we submitted our applications?
