Actually I am here in Toronto. I quit my job in US to stay with my husband. I know it seems kind of crazy decision now considering we could have just traveled back n forth. But I was fed up with life and just wanted to be together after our 12 year relationship. Came here got married here, parents didn't approve marriage. That was our red flag. So now the question is do I have to go to India for stamping or cic will give option to do it here. Also I was told my another member that the PPR does contain option to send passport to Ottawa. So hoping that final step goes smooth.

I think only Delhi can issue you visa

Where did you file your application? - NDVO isn't it? If that's the case regardless of where you are staying, I think the pp has to go to NDVO. However I would check with a local CIC office close to your location to find precise factual information.

Hmm...
My file did go to NDVO. I asked an NDVO applicant (algrn) who was kind enough to send me a snapshot of his PP request pdf and also read in other threads..it says if the person is in Canada and will be for next 3 months, they can send passport to CPC - Ottawa.

Any body here who can confirm this please ?

Then may be you could send it to Ottawa. I would wait for that PPR document and once I receive it based on what is mentioned I would act accordingly. The problem is that our spouses being in India, very few of them would have come to Canada on a visit visa because 97% of the times it is refused. So the audience here who would respond to this specific request may be slim. However since you have posed this question, I hope somebody here would be kind enough to answer it.

By any chance have you tried your question in a thread like family applications from UK/US as you could expect a response much quicker?

The PPR email is a standard template I believe. I did ask in London thread I guess and the same content was there. In fact based on the VO, there were several options esp. with files being transferred across different VO's.

I know TRV is pathetic thing. I got mine before marriage and when my husband was in a work permit.
I can't understand why there is no dependent visa. And spouses of work permit holders get all the benefits. And even funnier thing is those who apply for PR and get married in between the processing can update their application to include their spouse and they both get the PR in next 3 - 4 months.
As if fraudsters wont use this foolproof method. They don't even get conditional PR.

Thank you each one of you who sent their wishes.
I knew my post would cause speculation and confusion. But I just had to let you all know.

I have said this before..
I think NDVO is working on applications continuously.
There were about 4754 applications last year. ~396 per month if we distribute evenly. We have 20 or 10 or max 30 people per month on forum.
Almost 370 more people per month are out there in real world. We are not seeing a real representation here. esp its evident in last 3 months.

Few July applicants got IP in Dec 2014. Like right now NDVO should be in September or October. But we can only keep guessing.
Lets hope that those in forum get updates.

Also any silent readers please register and post ur status even if u r Jan applicant, even if u finished the process. It really helps those who are waiting.

where did you get these numbers from is it on the government website?

Need a suggestion/advise:

1. The status of my spouse who has sponsored me has changed >> From PR to Citizen
How should i inform NDVO about this ?

yes...your hubby can write an email on case specific enquiry and let them know or you can also do the same mention UCI for yourself and husband as well.
