Good News
So i called CIC and the very generous lady provided me with my husband's UCI# that has been generated and that the file is in New Delhi..
Guys does this mean should I still worry about AOR2?
No dear, just relax now. You got your UCI. But once you called them in that time you can ask them if its possible they will send you an email.

I asked them if they can send me an email, but she said their not authorized to do that, that is something ur Visa office does..
should i still worry bcz AOR2 email is still a written official letter..
What is AOR2 meant to be for though, is there any other info that i have missed that could be important in that letter other then file no and UCI#?

Buddy relax. Just dnt panic. If she gave your UCI it means they have got your file it simply means they have your file. Many people directly get ppr instead of aor2 -in process- decision made.

Try using new UCI and other details if you can find it on ecas. Just DO NOT panic.

Hi

AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt. What you have received is AOR1 which you got from Mississauga. after this you will get SA - Sponsorship Approval.
Two weeks from SA, you may or may not get an email from Delhi saying that they received your file and to pay the RPRF fee and submit Police clearance if not already done. It is a standard email. This is AOR2 or file transfer.

We see that only recently they have started issuing AOR1 ( may be due to long processing time for Stage 1 ).
You should be able to check your Status in Ecas after SA. :)

Dont worry about it. I think you got your file no. Try to login using that no. If working fine, reflecting your details, then stay relaxed.

Dear friends and members,

If you are concerned about the processing times for your respective visa office or empathize with people that have to endure such a long period of time without being with their loved one and you would like to show your support or find ways to contribute, you can:

1) Sign the petition http://bit.ly/spouse_sponsorship

2) Email family, friends and colleagues informing them of your situation and requesting support to sign the petition

3) Add to your signature in your profile:
Reduce spouse sponsorhip processing time: http://bit.ly/spouse_sponsorship

This is an election year and I believe there is strength in numbers.
