Folks,

In my case I did a small trick that I had heard works. But I was not sure if did work indeed. So I gave it a try and I guess it worked. Basically arround the time when your peers are geting updates you need to constantly remind NDVO that you exist. So after July 1st week applicants got updates I sent NDVO a letter informing them about the computer course my wife completed (change in education status). I had also applied for a new police clerance certificate. So in two weeks I would have sent that out in case I had not seen any development. I know none of these letters are really required but they sometimes help you. Basically when you send a letter someone at NDVO pulls your file and gives it a quick review. If something is stuck that gets kicked in and in case everything is complete you get PPR. It is a hypothesis but it worked for me. Cheers and wish everyone all the very best. Amansanghera, Anuaru and all folks stuck can try this little trick. Nothing to loose

May be it would backfire sometimes? What if they get second PCC and get confused and ask you again for PCC thinking first one expired? I wouldn't trust NDVO to be logical in such things. May be another option is to try for Visitor Visa. Anyway it will get denied, but while applying for visitor visa they might open the PR file and process it... In any case, I think rather than trying to bend the system, we should just have patience and let them do their job in normal way...

did anyone here had an experience where you get a request to submit updated forms and application receive date changed to the date updated docs were submitted and still gets process at NDVO as the date ur file was originally submitted?
For Example:
File originally submitted: January 2014
Request of new forms: February 2014
Submitted new forms: February 21st 2014
SA: March 25 2014 and ECAS changed to APP Receive date February 21st
In process as per to January applicants: August 1st

yeah thats true, and sending additional document without any their request, it take case in jeopardize situation as well, so It better not to send. We can submit, some document without any NDVO request such as new job letter, or 2nd visit to your spouse, I dont think so other than this we can submit.

I feel like this is matter of luck, I have seen one of friends file in 2013. He didn't well organized, even not good job, wife was not working in india, he got visa in 4 months. Its all matter of luck and your destiny.

Did any August applicant get an update ? Ideally August apps should be started in Feb.
NDVO has been doing this ever since they started 2014 apps. They were beginning the processing of a new batch of apps every month. So no surprises if any August apps get an update.
And I would be least surprised if a September applicant got IP next month and we have not heard of any August applicant.

Thats how it is. They started 2014 without completing 2013. It's not fair but we don't know how they work. May be they get assigned to different VO's and some are really slow in updating ECAS.

Glad to know they had been working on July files after all. It so happened that those in forum got IP quite late.

Praying that we all see progress in our files. :)

dude, It all depend upon case to case. documents you submitted. some are divorced case, some marriage are inter caste, inter religious, inter state, inter country. so it all depends. we cant say anything how NDVO works, and what actually they look into the file.

Its GCMS / ATIP notes. If principal applicant is in Canada, can apply for free under Privacy Act.
If sponsor is requesting it, you need consent form from spouse and $5 fee.

takes about 4-5 weeks to receive by email. It is a ~30 pages document

We got a remedical request on Nov 1st. Our file status changed to IP on Nov 1st, and stayed there since then (over 3 months now). Yours will be a long wait too may be. Sorry.

I have been waiting in IP since end of October. This is ridiculous!

I am going crazy after seeing this nonsense. 7 and half months and they havent even started. What the heck..

Your file was transferred on Sept 2nd to NDVO, its only little over 5 months, they are working on July files, probably started August files, you will hear something next month probably. just relax and be patient.
