I am left March applicant. I did 2 different MP enquiries and both MP got the same answer. My file is in a queue for first initial review. Means they haven't even touched....I lost all hope!!

Any updates from left Jan-Apr applicants?? Is there anyone in the same boat??

And also i forgot to mention,
Its been a long time since we applied. So they must sent you request for Additional documents. If not then interview will be the only next process.
From My GCMS notes i found that they touched my file on 22nd october,2014. so there is no way they havn't touched your file.
SO i request start collecting documents that you think might have Red Flags.

In process- 9 sept,2014

Try to make MP enquiry no use- same reply from 3 MP's we can't help until its 15 months.
Did 1st email enquiry - 6 Nov, 2014 receivd short phone call confirming DOB nd my hubby's stay in UK it was just 5 months .
Did 2nd email enquiry- 5 Dec,2014
Decision Made next day - Dec 6,2014.
PPR via phone call & email - 8 Dec,2014
Receivd Passport back on - 11 dec,2014
Visa stamping is in Chandigarh Office for Punjab people.

Hi,

An applicant will be called for an interview when the officials feel that the marriage/relationship is not genuine. Main reasons for that are huge age difference, wife is older than husband, different religion and cast, etc.

They may call for an interview, if you have not submitted enough details like wedding, reception photographs, marriage invitation, marriage certificates, photos together etc

Hence, make sure you collect all those details.... and also make sure your Canadian spouse is reachable by phone during your interview time.

My hubby is in canada... He has only divorce cerification now NDVO asking for petition copy.

My hubby told in canada only one copy is issued that is divorce certificate. How will my hubby find out petition copy in canada. Please please help me

Hi Payal,

These are the documents that you need to submit to CIC if the sponsoring spouse is divorced. They want to know everything about the divorce and want to make sure if the sponsoring spouse is adhering to the conditions of divorce as well as paid his all the spousal support, child support or any welfare payments. Below covers almost all of the documentation that you need to submit to CIC. If your husband doesn't have a copy then he can contact his lawyer and they surely keep all their case diary(which holds all these documents) atleast for 10 years. If the lawyer doesn't have it, then he can apply to the court archives and entire case history is kept for life. Just Anyone with the case number(actually marriage and divorce are public documents) can approach the court archives to get a copy of the specific case. So you surely have a way to get these documents.

2. Affidavit that you sent with the divorce application & all the evidence proof documents that were sent with affidavit.
3. Any case conference details
4. Divorce Orders (Temporary and Final)

When did NDVO contacted you? was it via email or phone call? This is true that in Canada only Divorce certificate is issued...there is no petition. However, if the sponsor has been approved by Canadian immigration to sponsor the other person, I am not able to understand why ndvo needs any further details?

Regarding spousal support/child support...all these background checks are done in Canada before SA.

For your question, you husband can go to any provincial court in his city and ask for court order for divorce by providing the registry number. it is provided on the divorce certificate. it is same as divorce certificate, just states additional line that both parties has agreed to divorce.

Did NDVO mentioned anything how long will it take after they receive the requested document?
