Sorry guys, we are asking it here no one else is answering in the forums.

We had applied last week but now thinking on withdrawing the application.

In one of the form she had sent she made a mistake of signing in the wrong section so to save time I had re-printed and signed it my self as her.

At that time we didnt think it through in the rush but now I am thinking if its a bad idea and should we withdraw and reapply or send a correction (she will send a new form) or just let it be.

Any help is appreciated

Bro you should have never done that bcoz if they caught it then they can make it a fraud case on you and sponsoring anyone in future will be very difficult and trust these guys everyday work and they know what is genuine and what is not and specially signature. I suggest withdrawing application instead of taking a risk.

Well, I would have advised against it, but the deed is done ;D If it looks convincing then may be worth a shot to let it be. In any case, you are stuck a bit, you can't withdraw now saying you signed it because that would be admitting it. You should just wait to see what happens, but probably it will be okay - if things like ink color, paper size, paper color all match properly.

I know I shouldnt have :( We were in such a rush to apply. The form which she made a mistake was in one of the sponsor form where the applicant has to sign and not in her form.

It was in my sponsor form (1334) where she also has to sign and not in the applicant form. We were in such a rush to apply; I was thinking of sending an updated form saying there was a mistake (like a typo or something) but when I spoke to the agent (told them the signature on the form is wrong) they suggest we wait till we hear back and if they feel they need it they will ask.

Just wait, unless you've really made it obvious (not even remotely close to the signature, different ink), I doubt they will follow up on it. Sit tight, don't complicate it yourself.

Yes, I agree. and don't worry much, that signature will not be used on the back of your PR card when it comes. It basically is there to say that you attest that what you are saying is true. If you don't say anything now about the signature, it is sort of like saying I stand by what I said. Only in extreme cases where they accuse you of misrepresentation will things like these come up. But, for normal folks like us, that won't happen.

no NOTARIZATION... nothing on the back of photos, other than the date when they were taken. no a stamp does not need to be translated.. but ur marriage certificate needs to be validated by the MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICE.

This is strange guys...its different answers every time I want to have a reliable answer.

Never heard of Ministry of External Affairs office coming in this scenario.

::)

Has everyone else from New Delhi gone to "Ministry of External Affairs Office" for their Marriage Certificate.? :-X :-X
