First of all congrats...one step closer to this journey
After reading ur post I cheked mine status with a hope to see in IP instead of AR...
And it is IP today after long time...
Which month is ur application was filed??
Do u kno how long more they gonna take now??

i did...
take the letter from the RTO where u obtained ur licence.. no big deal... then when u take the G1 WRITTEN TEST in canada submit that document along with ur valid original indian driving licence at the drivetest canada centre.. u must submit the licence and letter (which will be a dot-matrix printed doc with ur scanned photo - get it stamped and signed by the RTO officer) at the time of taking the G1 written test. once u do that, ur experience will be added and u might be allowed to take the G DRIVING LICENCE TEST w/o waiting period or even without taking the G2.

but be advised. G is very difficult too pass and if u r taking it directly without G2 chances are ur examiner will be extra strict. also take a training course once u get ur G1. that helps reduce ur car's insurance and prepares u better for the test.. i passed in the first attempt and the course was helpful.

I'm also 17 Jan applicant. Still IP.very frustrating now a days. Now lost all my home. Seems like they kept our file on site I think they gonna make us wait for next few months. I also did mp inquiry but not proper answer I got.good luck

But this is what I know for sure that Canada is not the signatory to the Hague Convention hence authentication of documents is not needed for official purposes.

I still can't post links but if you search for Canada, Hague Convention and Authentication you will read it all. I don't think that Marriage Certificate needs to go to Ministry of External Affairs if you are using it for Canada.


I think there are other forum members, who would agree to this.
