JUST opened the status with heart palpitation. I knew something happened.

BOOM status is Decision Made!!! :o ;D :'( :-\

"Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on February 21, 2014.

We started processing your application on September 16, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Now how soon do I expect to get mail/email for PPR?

Through out whole process they didn't request any documents or anything. Only thing that was abnormal was they took little bit of time to approve me as a sponsor. Nothing after that.

Hello Everyone!!!

Last night just as I was about to go to sleep, I get a call from my wife telling me that she received an email from NDVO with a Passport Request!!! I can assure you it was hard to sleep afterwards! It sure doesn't seem real but finally its happening!!! ;D ;D :o

I do have couple of questions regarding ppr...

1) The email says that the passport will have to get to New Delhi. Does it mean that my wife will have to courier the passport to NDVO or should she take it to VFS location?

2) Also for those who have gotten their visas, how long of duration do they get on their visas. I have read in one place that NDVO gives you 30 days from the issuance of Visa before you must arrive in Canada and the other place says that the Visa that they issue have an expiry until your medical date.

Could someone please shed some light on this...

I thank you all for the help throughout this process... Specially Kan_Sri!!! You rock man!!! 8)

Hello... congratsss.. yeah thats quick... but anything can happen when u r dealing with ndvo...
So u r the one breaking all records.. lol
Wish u speedy visa n a very happy married life...

Yeah submit ur pp to ur nearest vfs office n they will transfer it to ndvo...

Now the issue is if my wife sends passport now for visa and I am going to India on Nov 4th and we were planning to go for our 2nd honeymoon around beginning of December. Now I don't know if I should take a risk and book something by 2nd week of December? :-\ :-\ :-X

If everything would have been just one month early then everything would have been smooth.

I wonder if we can delay sending the passport, is there any time limit of sending a passport after the request?

Thanks!

once you get passport request, you have 30 days to submit. DO it ASAP. The passports with Visa comes back from NDVO within 5 days.

Any one submitted Passport at Jalandhar VFS location ??

Not sure Jalandhar vfs is open.. some one told me that it has been closed down , so nearest vfs will be chandigarh ...
