No, it does not matter if sponsor was born in Canada/any other country and holding Canadian PR/Citizenship.

first medical: 8th May 2013
File submitted: 11th June 2013
AOR received: 22nd october 2013
passport send: 26th December 2013
passport received: 04 January 2014
file "in process": 17th July 2014
second medical received: 4th September 2014
present status: "in process"

wats SA date?
how much time more I have to have patience, dont know. M praying god thats the only way.

When you received the PPR request, did you submit it to the Canadian High Commission ?

After that, Could you go back receive it after visa has been stamped??

I know everyone knows this but just in case...
make sure to get all your original educational documents.
driving license
letter from License authority claiming it that they issued this driving license and its not fake lol
get your sponsor to send you all the driving handbooks so that you can prepare yourself way in advance and get your license asap when you come here... trust me winters without car is like hell here...

People who applied in Jan or Feb like me havent even got any IP updates and some people who applied in March are already getting DM. There is no benefit to applying early. You guys are all happy and congratulating everyone....imagine how people like me and other would feel who havent got any update even though they are higher in line of priority.

Dont get me wrong.....I am happy for people who got updates but how is this fair to someone who have been waiting for their better half, half way around the world. I read on this forum that NDVO might be working hard to reunite people before festive season but if they really cared then they would have thought of people who havent got any update since they applied in Jan or Feb or even Dec last year.

Dont mind me...I am just blowing off some steam....this forum seems to be the only place to do so and not get arrested for vandalizing and breaking other people's property. :'(

I hear you Brother... but trust me no one knows what's wrong with NDVO... they just work randomly and if someone is getting surprise we should be happy and pray that soon it will be our turn.. that's what we can do... don't worry you will get it sooner or later... believe in God and NDVO

You don't have to submit it to Canadian High commission....
You will have to visit your nearest VFS location to submit your passport...

after you submit your passport to VFS, they will give you 2 options to get it back:

i)you can pay for courier and they will send it directly to your place
ii)they will let you know when it is ready to pick up from VFS location

PPR email came in as well today. been told to submit passport within 30 days.

Hang on tight ppl, everyone's day will come rather sooner than later.

LoL thanks. I dont know about liberals. I went to another MP and they send an email within 1 hour of my request. The MP got and email today that the applicant should receive email soon. Within one hour got the email.

You had to wait for PPR for a long time right? How long did u wait? My status is DM and mostly half of the people who got DM today also got their PPR email. I am just wondering, how you did the inquiry in case I have to in the future. Hoping I won't. ..but just in case if I do.
