Hey Bud,

DM was made for me on AUG 25. Been waiting since them. I applied for GMCS notes(i think that what it is called) and inquiry to NVDO as well. Still havent heard from them. I went and talked to MP and they did inquiry. This is the standard Email they send out:

"This refers to your enquiry received at the visa office in New Delhi.
Please be advised that further instructions will soon be forwarded to the applicant. Until then, she is requested to await our contact.

But 1 hr after that, my wife got email. Hopefully this helps. If it hasnt been that much time since DM. I say wait. BUt if more than 3 weeks, then try MP. You might get the same response as i did. Hope this helps.

I did this myself as well and made 4 other people review my documents(family members). I also made copies of the PCC an Medicals just in case they require it. If they application is completed properly then have a better success rate. Also could be the person working at the file. Just make sure everything is completed properly and watch Video online on how to fill out application.

General Question for all the members who got IP's DM or PPR well before Jan and Feb applicants..

Did you guys applied through Immigration consultants (Agents)??

Bcoz I was wondering maybe they know how to file papers in the package and where to put bar codes of the application and so on and this makes it easier for NDVO to take those applications first and clear it as they know it has been done by some professional who does it every day rather a common man who will do it in his own way... that's why maybe Jan and Feb applicants are still waiting??

I think it does matter how you filled your papers and makes it easier for NDVO to review and approve it.

Any thoughts on this?? bcoz even I applied myself without any consultant and I don't know if they will delay it if its not according to their standards.

OMG!!! guys got DM and PPR!!

Have a question about passport submission. It looks fairly confusing to me. I am from Mumbai and I found the Mumbai CVAC here. Do we have to visit the CVAC personally to deliver the passport?

There are several service charges here, but not sure which ones we HAVE to do.

Also, is there a best practice, that is better to pick up the stamped passport at the CVAC or delivered via courier? Which is faster I mean? If we pick up from CVAC, how do we know when to pick it up?

Was your wife also told to go to one of the CVAC offices for the visa? Is this what e everyone is told to do? Also do you mail it to this office or go there personally? My husband works in the city where one of the CVAC offices are so I can tell him to take the passport with him.

You have to go to VFS location to submit your passport...
I would not recommend you to send your passport via mail...

even if it is far, you must personally visit that place and make sure they take your document and give you a tracking number...

also they will ask you to choose one of the options to get your passport back:
i) pay for courier service and they will deliver at your house
ii) contact you after it's ready to pick up and you can get it from VFS location

also there is an option where you can select email/text service..

so my recommendation to you is to personally visit VFS location..

AOR received: 22nd october 2013
passport send: 26th December 2013
passport received: 04 January 2014
file "in process": 17th July 2014
second medical received: 4th September 2014
present status: "in process"

wats SA date?
how much time more I have to have patience, dont know. M praying god thats the only way.

I dont know exactly, is it true or not. NDVO office people always said this to me that we have workload, so when ur turn will come, u will know the status. I dont know, y they are taking this much time in file only. Else everything they are having nothing left. My husband submitted the complete file. Now they are having my passport, my medical everything. I dont know whats happening?

you got PPR and you send in passport? how long since you send it in? i would think it would be just to stamp visa and send back.

i would assume the one closet to you. They use these offices to courier to NDVO. Once you complete the process, they will give you a tracking number.
