Hi,

Congrats on your PPR. Did you apply for a spousal sponsorship? The reason Iam asking this is because from what I read on your profile, it says that you applied under FSW1 category.

Why do I see a new pattern emerging here for processing Spousal Applications.

Just like with any other non-spousal applications (Permanent Residence, Citizenship) the application processing stages are usually like so:

Stage 1: Application Received - Good 4-5 months.
Stage 2: In-Process - Lonnnnggg time depending on the application (8-36 months, pretty much the same for PR [Depends on the class the application was filed under] and Citizenship applications)
Stage 3: Really short (PPR, Test/Oath etc)

So, if they are generalizing the application processing pattern across the board, its bad news for 2014 applicants. This means that 2014 applications sit in the status of "In-Process" for a long time as opposed to 2013 way of processing applications, where it would sit in a status of "Application Received" for a long time followed by "In-Process" & "DM" within 7-15 days after "Application Received" status changes.

Trust me...nothing makes sense now a days the way NDVO is working. You cannot predict anything.

April applicant and a PPR already ?? (a bit against the PPR trend for the year 2014, the PPR now comes in after application goes to DM status). Has the sponsored applicant traveled extensively outside India?

Never travelled out of India.Though I had tourist visa for both US and Canada but never travelled .
