Hi Sammy,

I contacted CHC, New Delhi, nd the last email I received from is this

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

This Family Class application was received in New Delhi on 22 October 2013. We have received the medical reports and the results are valid until 4Sept2015 . The application is currently in the queue for final review. It will be reviewed in accordance with its place in the queue for applicants in this category, based on the application received date.

Please be advised that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized. Your continued patience is appreciated. Until we contact the applicant, either to request additional documents or information or to request the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Went to MP Office. He wasnt there so i talked with the front desk. Apparently they cant do anything till the process has passed 90 Business days. They said if they send an enquiry to CIC, they will get the same response "wait for process to finish". So now i have to wait till November before my MP can do anything for me. I am a bit disappointed. I am going to have to vote for someone else this year, although they not that good either. Really sad.. :(

Why do I see a new pattern emerging here for processing Spousal Applications.

Just like with any other non-spousal applications (Permanent Residence, Citizenship) the application processing stages are usually like so:

Stage 1: Application Received - Good 4-5 months.
Stage 2: In-Process - Lonnnnggg time depending on the application (8-36 months, pretty much the same for PR [Depends on the class the application was filed under] and Citizenship applications)
Stage 3: Really short (PPR, Test/Oath etc)

So, if they are generalizing the application processing pattern across the board, its bad news for 2014 applicants. This means that 2014 applications sit in the status of "In-Process" for a long time as opposed to 2013 way of processing applications, where it would sit in a status of "Application Received" for a long time followed by "In-Process" & "DM" within 7-15 days after "Application Received" status changes.

This adds more fuel to my new pattern theory.

April 1st week application went to "In-Process" status, while most of the Jan-Feb-March applicants are still waiting to go to "In-Process" or are already "In-Process" or to "DM" status.

Finally the first OMG!! moment.... Application went IN PROCESS from September 19, 2014......PPR on 22nd Sep.

April applicant and a PPR already ?? (a bit against the PPR trend for the year 2014, the PPR now comes in after application goes to DM status). Has the sponsored applicant traveled extensively outside India?

thanks buddy...

I see that your application status is still "Application Received", lot of March applications went to "In-Process" last week. Tomorrow might be your turn, hopefully!

congrats buddy!! Good luck with rest of the process...

keep posting...
