Hi Guys, After a long break from this forum I am back. Good to see a lot of IPs, but I am so surprised that there are hardly any DMs for 2014. It is a disturbing trend. I hope we start to get DMs and PPRs soon.

PS: I was in India with my wife for the last 2 weeks.

Hi guys,
m sheeba from Delhi...my husband submitted my file from Canada on 11 July,2013. Then the embassy was in strike. My medical was also done on 8 May 2013.

then on 24 December i received letter from new Delhi CHC, to submit my passport and in that letter it was written that my file was received by CHC, new Delhi on 22 october2013. After I sent my passport nd I got confirmation that they have received it on 5 January 2014... After that my online status showed "in process" from 17 July 2014.
now on 01 September 2014, I received a letter asking to do medical again, I had that again nd on 10 September 2014 I received an email, that they have received my medical on 4 September 2014.
I wanted to know, as they are having every document, passport, medical... Its been three months too my file is in process, how much time more as 12 months will also be over on 22 october 2014.

please reply somebody.. I will be very thank full. Regards

I can understand your worry. Have little more patience.These days they have picked up their speed. hopefully soon your wait is going to over. so don't worry. probably in a month you gonna see your ecas as DM. Good Luck!

I have some queries which may sound stupid to some of you but i really need your help guys.
I am the sponsored person and my husband is the sponsor.
I am confused a bit. When I check my ecas, it shows the mailing address of my lawyer to whom my husband hired in Canada. So my question is whose mailing address is needed to be shown at my ecas- my lawyer's or my own address? If its my own address then please tell me how can i update my address?

Second question is that i got my new passport with my name (surname) changed and all my documents are with old name. So do i need to inform NDVO by mailing them the copy of new passport along with old passport or by phone call or by email or I should wait for PPR and then I should send both passports by courier?

Welcome to the forum....if you have applied through the a lawyer, then lawyer address would be on ECAS. usually all correspondance is through email. Lawyer usually will forward the same...

you dont have to update NDVO about new passport. At PPR stage, you can include a cover letter explaining the new passport. Either way the new one will have the details of the old passport as well.

IF you want to update NDVO, you can send a cover letter and include the copy of the old passport and the new passport first and last page.

That means if they make PPR by mail then they will send mail directly to lawyer. Am I right?
but when they will return my passport with visa they will return at my own indian address?

dude....this is what i would do.....other seniors can help you out....if differnt...

your application is about to be picked by NDVO. you seriously dont have to send them or update them about PPT.
once your file goes into process....they will ask ppr.....you could send a cover letter with passport...

PPR is an email most of the time....and yes PPR is sent to lawyer..

PPT is sent to indian address. VFS is included these days for PPT transition....so that makes it easier, you can just go and collect from VFS office...
