I am soon going to be permanent resident of canada by december nd have a good job/income from a reputed mnc . I have been living in canada from past 2 years (On work permit ) .Once i become PR in dec , i intend to go back to india(New delhi) and get married in january .

From all you experience guys I just wanted to know what timelines(Medicals,aor, PPR etc) i can expect for sponsoring my wife PR before my wife joins me in canada . Will there be any hurdles in sponsoring as i have good income

Can i bring on visitor visa while application is in process ?

It is hard to say how things would be by the time you get to this position, things change with Immigration processes without any notice. Based on the trend these days it is talking 8 to15 months approx for the whole process in a genuine case. I don't think they care about High or Low income, as long as you are earning enough to support your spouse that's all it matters in this case, which is fair I think. And Visitor visa is a matter of luck I would say, some ppl got it without any issue, good for them but it there is refusal it will delay everything even further...

yes r_kaur u r absolutely correct..

follow this forum Risabh..
and you will understand the current trends, which keep changing.. at present it is taking about 9-10 months on average... for a complete application.. hopefully the timeline will decrease by the time you apply... keep coming here occasionally.. and you will have a good idea...

as for the income part,

as long as you have not filed for bankruptcy and you submit the (t4 for the last year) Or (a letter of employment) you are good.. you do not need to meet any income requirement to sponsor a spouse.. income becomes imp for parents and grandparents only..
