I didnt know there are state specific PCC's. How do you obtain these ? Do u apply at the local police station of each state ?
I thought if you apply at the Passport office, you get one common PCC which is for India.
Guys if CIC does not ask for it, do not complicate the process yourselves.

Anyone else any views ?

Once PCC is issued by passport office it is it. you don't need it for state wise. they do the back ground check and issue. if you have changed the state or address update CHC respectively. and let them decide if they need updated PCC that too from passport off not state wise. some applicant knowingly or unknowingly who want to be more cautious complicate their cases rather than making it simpler.

i have also not received PPR, i think they should send via email only.
do you know of any case where they sent it via mail ?
also clear ur messages, i was trying to send you a PM but it says your inbox is full

there is nothing called state specific PCC... the website clearly states.. PCC from any "COUNTRY" where you have stayed more than 6 months...
also, passport office is not the only place to get a PCC.. many officials can provide the same as well...

here's a link..
hope this helps....

Hi karanjeet,

I also got my pcc from Singapore. Luckily I was there in Singapore, as being outside Singapore makes things a bit more complicated. Here are the requirements:

1. You need to fill the application form available at the singapore police website (spf gov sg <message does not allow me to post link>)

2. You need to fill an appeal form. Generally Singapore Police department issues PCC (called COC in Singapore) only to Singaporeans. So if an outsider is demanding it, they need to file an appeal against the rule. you need to send an email to SPF_CID_COC@spf.gov.sg explaining your situation so that they can send you all required forms.

3. You will need the proof that Canada govt needs the COC certificate from you. You can present your second AOR (which mentions your name, Canada UCI and ask you to submit fee ad PCC of all countries)as this proof. Do highlight your name UCI and the line which mentions that you should send PCC of all countries where you stayed for more than 6 months.

4. 3 or 4 photographs. (not sure exactly how many. Check the website for this)

5. you need to make payment of S$ 60 (55 for application processing 5 for postage). In the email ask them how they want you to make the payment

6. You need to send them the fingerprints from the recognized fingerprint expert in India.

Let me know if you need further help on gurpinder.guri@gmail.com
