Hey Sammy,

Thanks for the info! I logged into E-cas using my wife details and saw the Change of Mailing Address. This is what it mentions "There are different ways of changing your address depending on whether you are:

In Canada
Outside Canada"

Since our application is already forwarded to NDVO, and looking from my wife's perspective she is Outside Canada and technically needs to use Outside Canada options where they metnion that we need to notify the New Delhi office about the change, RIGHT????

sorry for creating the confusion, my wife's status is NOT IN-PROCESS, but like you mentioned "Application Received"

yes, it should be outside canada as your wife is residing outside canad and your wife's contact address is in india.. do notify ndvo if they are asking you to... let me check myself.. i will get back to you again.. and about the "in progress"... that actually means you will get your visa very soon.. usually it takes 7 days to 30 days to go from "in progress" to "decision made" so i was actually very surprised... ;D ;D

ok...

so i checked the new delhi CHC website... no clear guidance as to how exactly to contact NDVO.... my advice is to call them on their helpline number before you attempt anything.... they usually donot reply to emails... so call them.. if they do not pick up, then e-mail them...
moreover post this same question in 2013 forum.. i am pretty sure some one will ave the answer...

I want to know the possible processing time for my husband's application for PR from India. I applied for his PR on March 20. 2014, I passed sponsorship eligibility on 28th april, file transferred to New delhi in the first week of May, CHC new delhi asked to send two documents : Right of landing fee and PCC, we delivered both documents on 14th of May and 29th of May respectively.

After we never heard from CHC, even they never confirmed whether requested docs have been received! I checked the application status online which appears as "Application Received. We received your application for Permanent Residence on 20th March 2014.

Would you please give us any idea about further processing.

As per current processing trends it is more like 9 - 13 months for processing. currently Nov'13 applicants are getting visa and Dec'13 is under process. processing time varies with per case complexity. you will know more once Jan '14 applicants start getting In Process and Passport Request.
