Deep Son said:Dear all
I got my TRV with a 10 year validity.
Am indeed grateful to each of you participants here - I got to learn a lot about the process and also found resolutions as and when I had issues with the processing of my PR Visa.
Just to help you further, I applied for TRV last Monday (04th of May, 2015) at VFS, Bangalore.
The passport was dispatched to the VFS yesterday (12th of May ) and was ready for collection today (13th of May 2015)
As I am an Indian citizen, 4 forms needed to be filled and only one form had a bar code, which was generated online.
All the forms were filled online. Print outs were taken of these filled forms. Print outs were taken on non glossy Bond paper.
Along with the above 4 forms, the other papers that were submitted personally by me at VFS, Bangalore were:
1. Husbands employment details
2. His finance papers - Bank statements
3. An invitation letter from him, which contained his home address and a request to the immigration to grant me a TRV.
4. Our marriage certificate
5. My finance and employment details.
6. DD is not accepted, they collect TRV fees at the VFS. The actual fee is 4950 + Service tax and SMS charges = 5825.
7. Along with the above 4 forms, we also have to submit a consent form (mandatory), which is available on the Canadian website.
8. The passport. Kindly carry all the passports (expired ones too)
9. If you have a travel history, kindly photocopy the earlier VISA stamped pages and submit them too.
10. 2 pictures according to the specifications on the website.
It was a very smooth process. The guys at the VFS, Bangalore were quite knowledgeable and the crowd was not much .
The whole application submission took me 20-25 minutes.
They give you a receipt/acknowledgement as soon as the papers are accepted with a Tracking ID number and website to check.
Since I had requested for SMS facility, I was informed on the same day promptly at 10.30pm (IST) that my papers are forwarded for processing. An E-Mail was sent too.
Today (13th May), when my passport was ready for collection, I had to go with a photocopy of ID proof (PAN card I gave) between 2-4pm
Any queries, Kindly ask.
Guys, am planning to join my husband - BuggleBoy soon.
Once again, thanks a lot for the unconditional understanding and support !!
God bless you all with the VISA soon. I shall keep in touch as long as I can .
I haven't yet got the PR Visa, so, am still a part of each of you. I shall sign the new petition right away !!
Affectionately
Soni (Deep Son)
Hi Deepson
Thanks for your details explanation it is really helpful in preparing for my TRV visa.
I have a doubt regarding your point 7 which says (along with the above 4 forms, we also have to submit a consent form (mandatory), which is available on the Canadian website)
Even in the checklist I don't see they mentioned something about consent form.
Can you please give me details regarding the consent form and where can I download the consent form.
Thanks
Prabhu
