Gulzar Ji,
1.Can you please tell me how long can I stay in India if I go along with my husband for the interview.
2. Can I stay in India until his visa is stamped? Wouldn't they question me that why I am not in canada??
3.Shouldn't I be here when he is landing after his visa is stamped? ?
Please reply ASAP as we need to book tickets for me if I decide to go with him for the interview.

gulzar ji started this thread and left after he got his visa..i will answer questions that you have asked him, if you don't mind

1. if you are a canadian PR, you can stay as long as you want after you, as a sponsor, have been approved based on eligibility criteria. However, if you are a canadian citizen then CIC would want to know if you are planning to permanently live in India. You can show them that you had significant ties (owned house; letter from landlord saying that you have agreed to move back to his/her house after the visa approval process is over; job offer when you go back...things like that)

2. No they won't question unless you are a citizen. If you have met your PR requirements then you are free to live in India (say you just renewed your PR card then you have five years validity. Before it expires, you must have stayed in canada 2 out of 5 years to meet PR eligibility)

3. you both can go back together (if the canadian immigrations asks then you can tell them you had decided to stay back until your spouse got PR visa)

you will get email from embassy. then take that email, 2 passport size photographs and passport to your nearest vfs office. Be ready now. congrats.

no I didn't mean ur interview will b on Nov but before dat due date they will sure contact u..I think u will received interview date on this Oct. .so relax

your and mine notes totally different in eligibility section...
created date 18-11-2013 [when they tranfer ur file according to ur timeline]
status-review required [i think now the review is over or maybe dats y they asked u for interview]
status date 7-7-2014 [i think they opened ur file and working on it]
due date 18-11-2014 [i think before dat due date ur interview will b over]

status date is 12-9-2013
due date 12-9-2014 according to my notes eligibility status date means when my husband' s ecas changed to DM. ..like when they passed sponsored person eligibility. .
nothing else but in urs there is a movement in July. ..so dats a gud thing...

How many days does it take for the notes? I applied sometime in the end of August and havent got it yet. Is it exact 30 days?

its take exactly 30 days for my last 2 notes. ..so in 3 or 4 days you will sure received it...

Sharing my spouse's timeline here :
We received application for permanent residence on September 5, 2013.
We started processing application on August 23, 2014.
Medical results have been received. (this was updated last tuesday, 16th sept,2014)

Any idea what the average waiting time is for us re-medical cases?

Any forum member(s) who've been issued their visas and were re-medical cases, care to share their timeline ?

Also, once the visa has been issued, what is the time frame in which the applicant has to enter canada?

in few hours I will update the remedical list so after see dat list if u got scared then its not my fault

My husband had to travel to India to submit his passport for the final PR visa sticker. He did this upon receiving a second request for his passport with a deadline. Has anyone else had this experience? How long did it take to process?

I've heard from a Foreign Service Worker rep that the strike action is causing delays to be about double the normal processing times and it's getting worse. With a new Immigration Minister and the Treasury Board standing firm it looks like the strike could go into the fall.

just want to know dat how u know u hv deadline of 22 jan...if they send u specific letter or didnt asked u how u sumbit [like on some cases they asked submit via VFS] so if they didnt asked u then submit via any fastest courier survice....
by the way can u share ur full timeline...like medical...

lets hope dear this delay is not gud they just clear 6 cases but more then 18 cases still pending....
