we received the Visa!!! big OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!! .
however ill be more happier if everyone in this forum receives at the earliest.....2012, 2013 and 2014 too......all in the forum.
Once all done,...lets place a BIG HOARDINGS in front of NEWDELHI OFFICE with OMG !!!

anyway....
i know we are all frusted in this journey..all i would say is "all happens for a reason"
so lets .....keep finger crossed....and keep hoping and praying...

Passport picked up - 21 August 2014

It took NDVO more than three weeks to hand over the passport. Two weeks after DM, they called us on August 13th, to inform us that the passport had been returned to them because they put the wrong address label. We checked our files and we had submitted the correct address. They made a mistake and didn't feel the need to apologize.

The person who called promised that he will mail it out August 14th via speed post. We expected to get it on August 16th, and of course it didn't show up. On August 18th, I (the sponsor) sent them a very stern email demanding they return the passport.

They called my wife on August 20th and asked her to come pick it up (they specifically stated that they are calling because of my email). They hadn't mailed the passport after promising to send it on the 14th. So she went and picked it up from Delhi the next day.

It is clear that NDVO employees do not give a *censored word*. And will not hesitate to make false promises. Anyone who is still waiting for the passport, send them stern emails, and ask your MP to do the same. They need a whip on their backs to get moving.

And hang in there everyone, and thanks for everyone for the support and information. This forum has been a god sent in these trying times.

Finally you got PP with visa in hand. Wrong address return and not bother to send is typical government dept function. Wait for responds and then only act.

Application filed from missi : - 5th Nov 2013
file transferred NDVO : - 5th Dec 2013
Medical's done : - 21st June 2013
Additional doc req+ppr : - 21st Jan 2014
sent on including PPr : -11th Feb 2014

last month ma wife got an interview call nd was held on 11th Aug 2014 in Canada.
1st case in this forum, i guess so.

But still when i check my ecas.....it shows just AR.

so my question is what should be my next step??? Should i ask for notes, if yes. What's the procedure?

Is your wife the Application or the Sponsor? It is weird that they held the Interview in Canada. Please give us a bit more details.

don't worry dese notes are 1 month old...so for this one month time period your security hs to b passed also. ..if you guys already submitted pcc's then don't worry. ..just few weeks ur visa in ur hands...

for the time being why not u asked ur MP to find out current situation. ..gud luck

i already checked with MP, he is good for nuthing....he told me, it takes 13 months for application to get processed...i am not relying on his words....
cant do anything, other than waiting....thanx dr

what is your status now? 'application received' or 'in process'...since you are an August applicant you should be hearing from them in a couple of weeks and by mid Sept you may see some movement in your file...currently it takes anywhere from 10 months to 13 months to get visa...if your husband has lived in foreign countries for more than 6 months, it might take little bit longer (depending on the country..advanced countries it might be faster to do background checks while less developed might take longer) time...

Thanks W2E for the quick response...my husband just stayed in US for 3 years, and for that We have already submitted FBI certificate....he also stayed in NZ, but just for 4 months...and then came back....i dun think, criminality check should take time...Last month, We got email from NDVO for remedicals and ADR (updated travel history form)....We already sent the same..and time box was till 29 Aug-2014, We had to submit the docs....I think another 2-3 weeks, I should hear from them....What is surprising in my case is that, ecas is still "application received"....though we got the notes with interview waived and eligibility passed and only criminality check pending.....
now, what you think about this situation....advise!!

My frined sponsor her husband from bangladesh a uear ago ,he was in canada before but his pr expired and had to leav for work so she had to sponser him
If she wants to stay with him in bangladesh till he get his visa is that efect there apllication

hey congratss buddy. ...so for you its not so shiny visa...right...
but do hell with them atleast they return back ur passport within ten days. ...so for ndvo this is really a record. ..bcoz they are damn lazy. ...
journey was not gud but atleast end is happier...so enjoy this moment...
