Hey rksandhu,
My case is also straight frwd after sending ADR..and medical is going to expire on 5th August. what do u thinking on my case? Only 10 days remaining for medical expire...

AtoZ, Did you NOT send all these documents along with your original application package itself?

Hi Chatwant,
Don't worry...I also have travel history to some countries....Id been to Canada 10 yrs back for 2 mths as well, but its not a hindrance and a cause for delay...As for PPR we gotta wait, only when asked, then send otherwise we might invite more problems if NDVO guys misplace it....Maybe two weeks more would make Nov. applicants' picture clear...till the patience

B'for application i did engagement and civilly mrg... After application we did marraige as per hindu religion... So they asked d photos for the same and outing pics wd family/frnds plus passport copies of d parents.
So my case is straight frwd but i dnt know what they r doing after submission of ADR.

Hi JJ.. Do you mind telling us what kind of offence it was?

Hi everyone, here is an update from me after long time. After submitting ADR they sent me interview letter yesterday. I'm not sure if these people got my documents because they didn't reply any of my enquiries yet. We applied for notes and it's been 43 days now and still not here. From mp enquiry we found out about interview only and nothing else. I feel like withdrawing the application right now! What would be the implications in the future if I do? I think the reason for interview is lack if pictures and simple marriage with no family attending. What are my chances of passing the interview?

As far as I know firstly go for the interview..Explain them everything raga riding absence of parents and hw u both met and hw much u long for each other stayin apart..Give it ur best shot..all depends on ur convincing skills. There was a same case of my frnd 2 years back.Lov marriage with no gathering watsoeva but he managed..Now he s happily settled in Vancouver..it all depends on ur convincing skills and who the officer is takin ur interview...

Welcome to the club Jaskambo,
There are about a dozen other forum members in the same boat (October applicants) including me.
Hopefully we will see IP soon.
Is their any complexity in your case like second marriage, small gathering at the wedding, parents not present, wife older than husband, different language/culture etc.?

Apparently what I have noticed from the information gathered from reading the posts here is...
  • NDVO goes through about 50% of the cases in first run and grants them Visa. Usually these are very straight forward cases with a complete file and no additional work like background check, ADR etc. is needed. Currently timeline for this is 9 -10 months.
  • Then they process 30% of the total cases in 11-13 month's time where there are minor complexities like ADR or not very straight forward cases but have enough proof of relationship being genuine.
  • Remaining 20% cases are done after 13 month mark, and they usually have an interview (for things like wife being older than husband, different language/culture of husband and wife, second marriage of wife, parents not present in wedding, or a small wedding) and/or other time consuming hurdles like background check from another country.

May be other senior members, who have read more posts and learned more about the process can add/correct information on this post.
