NEW DELHI - 2013 APPLICANTS.

I am Oct 24 applicant and still did not hear anything. I have submitted my passport to ndvo in dec 2013.
Also my passport will expire in April 2015. In general, If I want to apply for renewal of my passport, how many months before i need to apply?
Will this effect my application? Please advise me.

i think in the application they ask for passport that has validity atleast for 6 months...is your status 'in process'?

Upasana, Have you tried emailing them? Perhaps since your case is in DM, they may respond.

Also, i dont think they mail out the passport immediately after DM. Perhaps, after DM, the visa gets affixed (2-3 days), then goes to mailroom (1 day), regd post from Delhi to Madras (min 7 days). I think your PP should be in your hand by 28th July.

You can apply for the renewal of passport within one year before the date of expiry. If visa is issued by NDVO latest before 6 month say September you can use the same passport when your Visa for PR is issued and you can get it renewed from Canada. Otherwise NDVO will send the passport to you asking to get it renewed. At that time get it renewed under tatkal. As per the current trend there should be movement in your file and your visa should be issued well before September All the best

Even under Tatkal you have to submit the old passport to Passport Centre....

Hey upasanagovind dont worry . You will get your passport in 1 or 2 days. My decision was made on 19 July. I am also waiting for my passport. Yesterday i had called at their customer care number at Delhi. One lady picked it up, initially she had said the same wording what you were told, then she said you will get your passport in 2 or 3 days after decision made. I think NDVO must has extended the validity of your medical. My medical is valid till 20 August as per the GCMS notes. If i dont get my passport till next week then i shall find some other alternate....
Just relax and be positive....

don't worry, generally after rem-meds it takes a month or so to get DM...u know it sooner or later the visa is yours...so take care n enjoy pampering in india...

Yes its absolutely free of cost and fantastic 1 full days program for all those who want to pursue job in their own field. All you have to do is register yourself with resume and medical letter or any email from NDVO.

oh please dont worry abt that....in med-reassessment,there is no need for blood/urine sample.....in ur case,they just need latest xray in order to extend the validity of your medical for another one year..

When ur husband got call? I mean which date? Can u tell me d date of in-process? And dm?
