The article does not discuss all the reasons of rejection. "Meeting just a few days before the marriage" might be the starting point of suspicion for a VO, and might have found other things when started investigation.

As per Y - 2013 Spreadsheet about 5.5% people had an interview, and this is my understanding that cases are rejected only after an interview so odds are not bad.

On the other hand http://www.thestar.com/news/immigration/2013/04/29/marriage_fraud_canadian_immigration_officials_tread_thin_line.html says 16% cases got rejected worldwide which may mean that NDVO has lower rejection rate, or people who have fake cases (assuming majority refused cases are fake cases) do not care to come to sites like canadavisa.

May be RKSandhu or Andrewset can give you more comforting answers

One advise i need from you , as we discussed about my case earlier that i sent ADR almost 1 month back and my medical will expire on 16th august as well , till date no change in my status.. My question is that will it be a good idea to writ them a polite decent mail reminding them all i have mentioned above. Kindly suggest.

Obviously promptness of complying with the ADR would also play a role in it.

Minimum is 3 days for RPandey (next is 24 days) and maximum is 137 days.



M sept applicant and sent additional documents yesterday...m worried now...how much time they will take???

I am also September applicant, sent ADR 1 month back but no change in status yet. Medical will expire in mid august , a bit worried now. Can you please share what kind of ADR they asked from yoy if you dont mind telling. Thanks..

m sept applicant....I sent them all documents....but i had not done marriage as per hindu rituals...and we had informed them in immigration form that we will do it when we will get enough time....last week i did marriage as per hindu religion and send them all d proofs they want. they requested me on 6th june and i sent them proofs on 5th july....now m waiting for changing my status...hope it will be soon.....experts advice will appreciate....plz reply all who r aware of this situation....

Do you have arrange or love marriage? How long your relationship?

As per trend I am seeing, NDVO are only concerned with glittering star fancy wedding with 32 teeth smile of 100s of attendees. They just dont care abt your love marriage or your genuine relation. Sad but true.

We had a love marriage.. Our families know.. I stayed with my in laws.. Its only because of some other reason they couldn't attend the simple civil wedding.. Even after wedding i stayed at my in laws house.. I sent them all the pictures.. We have been in a relationship since 2009 so I sent emails, chats, photos, with family.. I celebrated my bday at my in laws.. Call records.. money gram notices.. Receipt of money he sent me.. I did get the notes in june till then nothing.. No interview or anything..so waiting for my next notes coming end of july... The only red flag is a simple marriage with only friends.. However, i did attach a cover letter stating why parents couldn't attend the wedding.. Lets see what happens
