N how long it takes to get decision made after getting an interview like this?

A guy called told my wife abt where he is calling from and asked my wife
1) how do u know ur husband
She said her mom told her
2) how did ur mom know him
Said relatives told
3) how did you see him 1st?
By skype
4)when did u meet him in person?
He surprised me by coming to engagement and that's the first time
5) y did u marry a catering professional since u r from engineering background?
She said education doesn't matter he have clean habits n looks like gud guy
6) where is he working
own business as cook

they won't push your file down..first they will ask you to do medicals again and at that time if you feel like sending in your passport along with a copy of your medical fee receipt, you can do so..or wait until they ask you for your passport...it's just it takes time for them to ask for passport submission (in any case 2014 applicants have to wait until the end of process for passport submission and your case will be treated like a 2014 applicant) and that might cause the delay and not 'here is someone who asked for passport, let's torture that person by putting the file aside as a punishment' ...in my case, passport request never came so I sent in passport after remedicals was done...in any case, you can send in your passport any time without official notification (all it requires is a cover letter with particulars of your application)....

not necessarily anytime. we received passport request in Jan didn't realise until recently cause we ordered notes. the we called to make sure he could submit. obviously no real answer. then my husband did the 15 hour bus ride to Delhi to submit and they
refused it saying theycannot accept them this early anymore. .. so 30 hour bus rides for nothing

It is a new trend at NDVO, they call and ask some general questions to check the authenticity of applicants, and you will see 'in process' status very very soon, keep checking your ecas, you are almost done with the waiting torture.

On which date the notes are generated? Is it the date on which we receive the notes or on the date that is mentioned at the bottom of every page of gcms notes?

Sunsweet, I have a question for you:

Sep 2013 applicants got their files transferred pretty early in October itself.

But then Nov and Dec applicants did not get their files transferred that early. It took almost 1.5 months for the fiels to get transferred. In my case, file got transferred only in Jan end.

Now I am still going off of the application date and not the file trasnfer date to estimate when i will get my PP with visa. Would you agree or disagree and if so why?

It is good logical question. A reason why there were less files in Sep 2013. If you would have read the previous postings of the forum from the beginning you would have noticed the discussion revolving around the Strike. Earlier they were having their internal target of six months for issuance of visa which is now changed to 12 months. Six month long Canadian foreign workers strike came to settlement in Oct 13. Six months application of all categories were pending Oct and Nov 2013 saw inflow of many applications, normal situation in office environment slowly turning up put enrolment getting delayed. See mine is delayed a lot. First stage clearance Sponsorship approval delayed a lot to many. Now the speed is good. We see efficiency by quantity performed but in Govt service it is on the No mistake is performance. Govt official commence the process presuming the proposal is wrong and go on eliminate wrongs then only says it is okay, may be considered not looking at the positive side. This is the reason in our Spousal visa marriage is to be proved, relationship is to be proved, genuine marriage is put to acid test then he takes a decision to waive the interview which means every applicant is to go for interview is their design.
In this backdrop now look at your case you are Oct applicant Whatever happened to you should happen to all October applicants So in the forum logic is based on application date. Logic should be application recd date for sponsorship approval at CCI Canada and File transfer date at NDVO But there is no transparency in NDVO Hence application date is the base date in the forum. For your analysis you can consider both dates.
By September they should clear maximum files to show their overall performance is my gut feeling. So I feel there would be tremendous sanctions during July & Aug. You may get your visa in this flow if not by Sep.

Thanks I stand corrected..Rajneel please take a note of this...usually they don't accept anything given in person at NDVO...they don't let people in without appointment (emergency might be an exception) their standard answer is 'send us an email'

Thanks sunsweet.. wish you the same.. as for my timeline 18th Sep Applicant.. 1st Oct file transferred to NDVO.. medicals expired in April.. and yeah i was hoping that, 'that fortnight' will soon arrive but cant trust my hopes anymore.. having that passport would bring back some normalcy in my professional life atleast..

If your medical is expired then next communication from NDVO would be remedical When sending the medical receipt voluntarily send the Passport old and new along with a covering letter mentioning your file number etc. this shall reduce the time delay of the passport request.

Finally I can exhale fully now...I got passport with visa just now....DM was on June 21...visa stamped on June 18....passport mailed on June 23...thank you all for your support in this challenging phase of my life...other challenges will follow....

I have a repetitive que..well, I left US port on MAY21, 2013 AND entered india on May 23, 2013...but the USCIS in America says that I re-entered the port on July 4, 2013 whereas it did'nt happen...my return ticket for US was for JULY 4 BUT then we decided to start our immigration from india.... I have all the proofs that im in india since may 23....can u tell me would it pose a problem for me even though its a technical prob with US port authorities....
