to speed up the process, one can do medicals first and send emedical receipt along with the application....check the left side timeline of each post, many of them have done their medicals first before sending in the application....

I did MP inquiry to find out why is it taking so long for passport after 'DM' and this what I received as ndvo reply .

The file is still awaiting further processing. Following which, the applicant will be communicated directly by our office. Until then, he is requested to await our contact.

Good morning you guys

Jus a clarification.. is it a good idea to start filling out the B4E form nd also the excel sheet in advance?

If so..plese help me out.. There is supposed to be 2 lists that u declare as u land..One list is the goods accompanying that has all that u hav brought into Canada the first time you land.. Nd another goods to be followed... In the case of gold nd silver nd other valuables in the to be followed list.. are fotos necessary. . Coz my cousin who landed in canada as a spouse PR in early 2013 dint provide any for the second list. But some blogs say otherwise. .

Can someone help throw some light on this coz this is an important doc nd even if our stars favor us nd NDVO asks us to leave in short notice. We can be prepared.

In case of PR application for spousal sponsorship, New Delhi office recommends getting medicals done before application and submit medicals along with the application.

For most other types of PR applications (like FSW, parents sponsorship, etc.) medicals are done later.

just trying to get an idea of how many of us are waiting for passport with visa to be mailed? and how long it has been since status changed to 'DM'?

if you spell potato ending with an 'e' or without an 'e', it is the same...both MP and NDVO are useless...I didn't read that it was NDVO's response that MP is vomiting out....

Early in the morning, your post made me little nervous...actually what is "further Processing" after DM? Or maybe im little dumb to know NDVO language.....I don't wanna be critical early in thr morning, but it is ridiculous...cam u pls justify what im thinking i.e. b4 they dispatch the passport, they have other things to check and justify themselves that they r granting PR to the right person? im bit confuses, man....

I am more confused than you , can't explain what I am going through . To best of my knowledge ndvo has faculty for each step i.e ,orientation department , medical department , back ground check department , passport receiving and shipping department , computer department ( ecas updates) and above all decision making visa officer . And what's been happening with my file is lack of coordination within these departments .
Wish I knew about this forum little earlier and could have avoided so many delays . All I can say don't leave it on ndvo to update you , make sure you do your regular mp inquiries and gcms notes request just to be prepared ahead of time . It don't happened with every body most of the cases go smooth , but people can avoid to be in situation like me by being ahead of ndvo. Easpacially to those whose files stay at ' application received ' phase for very long time , should find out through gcms notes .

Finally I can exhale fully now...I got passport with visa just now....DM was on June 21...visa stamped on June 18....passport mailed on June 23...thank you all for your support in this challenging phase of my life...other challenges will follow....
