Its been exactly a year today since we filed our application. Its been more than a month now since I had my interview and was told my visa has been approved! Its been almost a month since i did reassesment of medical validity and my file is still in progress since more than a month now!! what the hell are u doing NDVO. Its really frustrating not knowing what else do they need now after approving the visa really pissed off....

it took me a month and a half after remedicals for change of status from 'in process' to 'DM' to appear...you should be getting change of status any time soon

i think my medical gonna expire tomorrow bit there is no sign of movement in ecas it still shows medical result recevied..

what will ndvo do next ???

are you 'in process' now? you may be asked to do medicals again....

How many day it will take to receive passport after decision made??

i am ahead in line so pick a number and stand behind me....conventional wisdom is that it takes up to one week to get passport..but you have to answer which came first chicken or egg...did they send out passport first and then changed ecas to 'DM' or did the ecas first and then sent out passport?

Nicely done guys!!!!! Just be patient you will get your passport with visa soon. And as for your question I believe they first change to DM and then send the passport in my case that is.

Check with Kuwait Embassy in New Delhi. They might help you. I had similar situation (other middle east country though) while I was in Singapore.

one is fast but repeats what NDVO tells him (in short lazy donkey...just insulted a donkey comparing him to an MP) the other is slow but gives detailed information (entered by a moron prone to incorrect information); one costs nothing but other one is $5....seriously MPs can tell you what happened to your application (but not detailed information) if MP does more to find out what exactly is the status of your application and not just repeat NDVO's ('file is within processing time of 13 months come back after that'); notes gives you a history of what actions visa officers had taken regarding your file and whether an interview has been recommended or not; whether they got your email address wrong or not

Firstly... wow older member than me so far... I am a bit surprised hehe....

To be honest Utsav, there is no definitive answer as to when will you get the passport after Decision made. For some people, the DM is changed and passport is received on the same day. For others, a few days to 1-2 weeks.

And one member has been waiting for more than a month. I don't want to break your spirits or give you the wrong impression. I pray that you will get it tomorrow so that you are reunited with your other half. Good luck!

check last two pages that will tell you if you have an interview recommended or not....individual section will tell you if your status for each section (e.g. criminality, eligibility, medical, etc) is 'not yet started'

I did MP inquiry to find out why is it taking so long for passport after 'DM' and this what I received as ndvo reply .

Dear Mr. Stewart,

This refers to your enquiry on June 24,2014. Please be advised that there has been no change in the status of this case since we replied to your last enquiry on May 16, 2014. The file is still awaiting further processing. Following which, the applicant will be communicated directly by our office. Until then, he is requested to await our contact.
