No, I'd rather not raise my kids in a world of racism. Don't bring that mentality to Canada or don't come here.

Kudos Wearethe11,
I am glad that I am not the only one who sees issue in that post.

I think you are just making it an issue, I have been active in this forum and have seen most of the people have had bad experience with Indian staff, infact there have been no such stupid behaviour by any canadian staff and its just Indian staff who is being over smart,
they insult, they make their own conservative mentality, and ruin others future, atleast they destroy others months and sometimes years.

and what racism you are talking about, if you really want your kids to grow up in a place where there is no racism, sorry to say you better find an isolated island, where you will be the only family, no offense but racism is everywhere,
its ok you can say no body is beating you in the streets for being an Indian, and how about discrimination in licenses, jobs...its just your definition that racism is just beating other country people, according to me there are many ways Canadians are racist,
call a bank, call a doctor's assistant, apply for a job, your accent will decide when you get appointment, believe it or not it is true.
and if you are closely in touch with locals, you should know they are not very happy to see Indians in high class jobs, I really don't know which Canada you are talking about, the real Canada is racist not open like Australia but it is.
Not trying to be mean in my post but here goes.

Canada, love it or leave it. You made the choice to come here...you don't like it, go back to India. No one is forcing you to immigrate right?

setting aside who is racist and who is not, if everyone takes the attitude 'like it or leave it' then things won't change....it will shut down a healthy debate and people facing injustice would keep their mouths shut...it is the same attitude you see in many countries (in France ultra right candidates against immigrants use that 'take it or leave it' attitude; conservatives in the u.s. say the same thing; right wing political parties in India say the same thing)...it is ok to have a healthy debate and if you can convince the other person your point of view more power to you....if people accepted the notion 'that's the way it is' or 'take it' or 'leave it' then freedom wouldn't have occurred in different countries; minorities in the U.S. would still sitting in the back of the bus; first nation people in Canada would still be facing injustice and so on...better option than 'take it' or 'leave it' would have been 'if you think racism exists in Canada or any other country, what would be your solution to bring about changes?' there you go, my views worth two loonies....

We are Indian people living in India. It's a choice to leave the country and go elsewhere....last I recalled no one has immigrated to Canada with a gun to their head.

I have experienced some racism in Canada but nothing alarming.

I can tell you one thing...discriminating against a religion or race of people in India and then crying wolf when you get discriminated against yourself in Canada won't get you my support. Cry me a river.
