Y'all need to calm down lol. Somebody landing first time as a PR can bring any amount of money gold etc as much as they please with no restrictions. The only thing is that u should be truthful at customs and tell them exactly all the valjbles and money you are bringing. They're will be no charges or anything. No duty. This is only for person landing first time as PR. Take pics of valuables in ur checked luggage etc and make a list of everything valuable u have. It will make the process go smoothly and u won't be questioned so much. Use this chance to bring most of your valuables risk free.

How did you figure that? 7-8 months? i saw some sept applicants still waiting for visa there too which makes it same as this forum.

you can check family class trackitt nd assumes urself.............as far as time to be taken is 10 mnths mostly applicants done in 8-9 mnths

guysss i assumes dat mostly people got visa in average 8-9 mnths time................. we are jst few applicants of each mnth on dis forum .......

sorry i couldnt follow.. i just checked trackitt. the latest of the visa issued is for sept applicant. There are many oct applicants who have not received the visa. so most likely they too are 9 months average..

Anveet is right I hv my friend in cic and he too told me it takes 8 months max.

i am assuming, what aveenth & others meant is - people who have applied say in jun have received visas in march. but that cant say the norm of NDVO is 7-8 months. There are many who dint receive at that time frame. Just my thought..

Hello Everyone...i have a question:

I am a September applicant...i am a Canadian citizen and waiting for my husband's DM...last week he received a phone call from someone in Delhi...and they were asking him questions about me and also the birth and status of our newborn baby...i informed NDVO that i was pregnant and my due date around 2 months ago..also i have no other business or anything in India...so im hoping it was someone from the visa office...it was a 10-15 min phone call and just questions fr my husband (kind of like a small interview)...my e-cas status is still Application Received...and they did not confirm address or d.o.b of my husband....

Any advice or thoughts on what this could be about?

normally it takes one week to 10 days but someone in this forum has been waiting for more than 3 weeks after 'DM' to get passport back...tracking can't be done...maybe you can ask your MP to find out if NDVO has sent your passport or not....i doubt if your MP would be so cooperative to find out at this stage when everything is done except for getting passport back..but you can try...

as I know u hv a lawyer...so I m thinking about remedical. ..my question is when u done ur remedical ur lawyer send d receipt or u done urself....I m just curious bcoz dere is few days more when my medical expires and sometimes they morons gives only 7 days time...

dnt knw dear bt m checking toady mrng nd after dat i posted.............. its family class trackitt many cases are dere ..................approve,denied ever case status shown dere
