If you wanna work in automobile industry as engineer then it's Detroit . As Canadian PR you can apply for jobs there , and because it's just on the other side of border so lot of people commute daily . GM , Ford and Chrysler are big three employers in Detroit and they have over 200,00 employee . Majority engineers from India like to work with them because of good pay and other benefits. Once you are Canadian PR and if hired by American company , you can easily live in Detroit or also choose to live in Canadian border town Windsor . There's huge demand for Machenical shaft experts in Vancouver . If you can do bridge course in any university , chances are you will get picked up during co-op.
To everybody out there I would suggest to make sure complete bridge course , otherwise you will end up doing menial jobs . Lot of immigrants waste their education because of lack of awareness or sometime short funds . If you can be prepared to fight out first year and a half , I assure you there's lot opportunities . Just imagine uneducated no skill people from punjab are well settled just because they hard workers . You can imagine what can you do with education and skill .
