I would say Send the copy of the new passport along with the copy of old passport, Also when you submit your passport make sure you send both old and new passport

No it wont, So dont worry and avoid any delays, Becoz if they send you the request later on, You file would surely go back in the queue. So instead sent every thing before they ask for it
