this answers question about how long it takes..by your timeline it took you three months to get your visa after your remedicals?

Your timeline is not known. It is not in the excell sheet So iam unable to comment on that. When the letter was sent during Jan14 the letter was a bit not clear some did not send the passport some sent it as a routine.
Sending the passport earlier is no way makes the process faster. Atleast you can visit places in between if need arise which others who sent the passport are not able to do.
Frequent travel obviously make the process longer compared to nil travel or less travel as they need not have to look or check the data. Already they are taking such a long period so this does not make an issue If the travel is more than 6 months obtaining PCC from the courntry makes us delay while applying. Please do not worry on not asking the passport Atleast you will get get the hit that they process your file when they ask for the passport Others do not have that option. Pl take it as a positive point in your favour.
Wife is tensed due to delay. be positive. repose confidence. Every one is going through this torture. The end is always sweet. Wishing you all the best.


Thanx sunsweet btw I have been to these countries only for 20 to 25 days.I suppose don't need a PC for that.

Then you need not worry. There wont be any delay because of these visits. only a normal check like others only.

But he doesn't have the interview and as per the assessment from the spread sheet and timelines of other applicants..it is assessed that the applicants those had interview got their visa after remedical somewhere in between 2 weeks to 8 weeks.

re medical done today whats the waiting time now......
hospital and the paneled doctor assured me that reports of the medical would be sent to the high commission within next 4 working days.....

yes..the same thing they told to us and we confirmed after 4 days by calling them whether they have sent the reports or not?

I didn't realize that it is faster processing for people who had interviews....thanks for pointing out the difference..in any case the visa is valid for one year right? so it gives enough time to leave the country well planned?

Yes...it will give your wife the sufficient time to give notice period to leave her current job and to wind up her things from here. You can fly any day within a year of validity of the visa.

90% of MPs don't know anything; 90% lawyers don't know anything and we pay them big bucks. Useless fellows who make big bucks but market themselves as experts in the field. Information is not pulled out of NDVO or queue or anything but a call center (or is it government agency? don't remember) in Canada does that...and it does not take 5 days or 5 months to get that information. Most MPs talk like parrots they just repeat what call center tells them 'your application is within processing time..bye bye '. Write them back for the statement 'if you have any questions or concerns please let me know'...... 'yeah i have one....which planet are you from?'

according to u whats d best time to mp enquiry. abt how many months.like my file's 9 months. .9 months passed but no update. .so if we talk to mp does he say something or not...??

My wife has finally got the chest x-ray request/med report after 13 business days in her e-mail yesterday as compared to some lucky members here who got it within 2 days...

She is going to get it done on Monday May 26 and hopefully NDVO doesn't screw me around again and delay me as I think now I am the 3rd applicant after Sania Ali and bossbig who hasn't got their visa and it has been more than a year.

Atleast your VO wake up and sent you the Medical Request..how many days they have given your wife to send the medical results to them?
Hope for the best and best will happen.. soon our passport will be in our hand with shiny visa... I think as your file is in process from the date of interview so all is going well...

Soon the postman is going to ring your door bell too to handover your passport with shiny visa sometimes what i say becomes the truth very soon

I know its very tough to be away from your love but for sure we all will get the visa soon
