Response from my MP

"Our office can look into the file for you, but you need to know that, seeking information on a case that is still within the processing time could delay the finalization of the case because it may have to be pulled from the queue to determine its status. In order to look into your file we will need a signed consent form from your wife. I have attached the form. Please have her fill out, sign & date and have a witness sign & date. Then return the form via email or fax.

Once we have the signed consent form, we will make an inquiry into the file; this generally takes between 5-10 business days. Then we will contact you with any information.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know."

Interesting because I've heard it doesn't impact your position in the queue.

90% of MPs don't know anything; 90% lawyers don't know anything and we pay them big bucks. Useless fellows who make big bucks but market themselves as experts in the field. Information is not pulled out of NDVO or queue or anything but a call center (or is it government agency? don't remember) in Canada does that...and it does not take 5 days or 5 months to get that information. Most MPs talk like parrots they just repeat what call center tells them 'your application is within processing time..bye bye '. Write them back for the statement 'if you have any questions or concerns please let me know'...... 'yeah i have one....which planet are you from?'

Hi there,
I just received a remedical request cause the first one is expired, do u guys have any idea after how long they will reply back to me after receiving the new medical reports, cause my PCC is also expired but they haven't asked for that.

Thanks for reply!!!

if your question is whether they will acknowledge the receipt of remedicals, they don't...if you are asking when will i get my visa, this is NDVO so there is no definite time frame but it is generally within 2 months....NDVO does not ask applicants to redo their PCC unless like 2012 applicants who have been waiting for more than 20 months....

this 'in progress' is different from ecas 'in progress'. check page two of notes under assessments what does it say for eligibility;security; medicals? started or not started? also last two pages under notes (last page) does it say interview recommended? check out this link to understand a little bit about notes

check the last page of notes; if it says interview recommended with implied reasons (like dob of sponsor is such and such and sponsored person is such and such; had previous marriage; quick wedding with no families present;different religion etc)....red flags are huge age difference; quick wedding with family not present; no honeymoon; lack of visits and communication after marriage; religion (though not openly stated)... you wont find openly stated in the notes you have to assume these are the reasons for interview....again anything they consider as a cause of concern will be implied but not openly stated..sometimes they have interviews for quality assurance purposes...of late people from certain state are prone to have interview (again this one is not openly stated in the notes)....

hi JJ,
Does it impact your application if u have lived in other country for long? I lived with my husband in US fro 4 yrs...He moved to Canada and I came to India for my PR with my child.....Do you think they will doubt us? We have enough proofs sent for our relationship even the latest ones like Wester Union receipts, our ahat history, phone calls , pics of the birth of our child, her bdays, our anniversaries etc....don't know what would they do?

Exactly the hospital people told me the same thing that i don't need to send anything. But if you are doubtful then you can send it so that at least you are sure. Most probably they must have received it. Why don't you check with the hospital?

Trying to confirm exactly that with the hospital...only getting call back ...concerned person not there! >:(

no..i lived in the U.S. for many years before moving to Canada..it didn't have any impact on the PR process....you will have to do police criminal background clearance for the U.S. and India (or any other country where you have lived more than 6 months) stay...
